Ando Japanese Restaurant

From experience I can tell you this is authentic Japanese. The service is excellent & the variety of fish is the best in the area!

brought my boyfriend for his birthday and i’m glad we discovered this place! service was excellent. everyone was welcoming and our server was helpful in dish recommendation and description. the atmosphere was relaxed and authentic. while the food is a bit expensive, it is well worth the price as it is fresh, quality, and delicious! while i’m not the biggest seafood fan, i really enjoyed the cod appetizer and a good amount of the sashimi in the dinner platter. as well, the katsu curry with pork was tasty and i had enough for leftovers. from appetizers to desserts, we were satisfied with the whole experience. even the matcha is a must. thank you for such a great dinner, we can’t wait to come back and try more! (we really want to try the flan 🫢)

Very intimate place. Great for a date. The service is always up to par. The food is amazing...a little on the pricey side, but worth it in my opinion. One of the best places to get sushi in the tri-state area!

Are you kidding me. $90 for 6 sushi rolls. I’d rather die than eat here again.

Ando is flat out amazing. I have enjoyed sushi throughout Cincinnati and beyond, but the quality of the fish here just blew me away. Our server Jake was also incredibly knowledgeable and helpful in sorting through the many options to make some excellent selections.

Our family has been going to this restaurant since it was in Lebanon. They had wonderful service and food quality. We hadn’t had the chance to visit for a while. We went to the new location in Blue Ash and we were there two hours and no one checked on us the entire second hour. We were waiting for a box, water and our check and customers that came in an hour after we did were checked out before we were. We won’t be back.

Food is still great, but the space is not as cozy or agreeable as the old place.

The sushi was excellent, possibly the highest quality sushi in the Cincinnati area. We went for boyfriend's birthday on Saturday evening so I was prepared to receive a nice meal. Given the $200 ticket for two the atmosphere and service was lacking. We were seated at a table in the center area of booths where photos of our sushi boat featured the buss station and cleaning products. I was bumped into multiple times by servers waiting on the table behind me. The table wasn't large enough for the sushi boat.. all small inconveniences but given the price I didn't feel it was appropriate. The sushi boat had high quality sushi but I was disappointed that I was advertised as a boat for 2 but some of the chefs choice rolls only had one roll so that meant only one fatty tuna roll for both of us :/. Waitress was also unclear on the mark up for specialty rolls on the boat. Over all it was pricey and the experience was not worth it. The food was very good but I would not return.

Jake is the best server of all time. I was visiting from Chicago after a recommendation from a friend and Jake did not let me down. Would highly recommend Ando and Jake.
