We were recommended to this spot from an out of town friend and it was worth it! We called and made reservations on a Saturday- got in right away. The menus were overwhelming but everyone was willing to explain and so helpful. We found Jake exceptionally helpful and he made us feel comfortable and explained/recommended each step of the way! We tried just about everything but 10/10 recommend the miso marinated cod. We will be back and we will for sure ask for Jake!

Best sushi I’ve had since I moved to Cincinnati 3 years ago. I can’t believe we’ve been missing out on this place. Service was excellent, food was authentic and wonderful, and everything is so fresh and delicious. We got the 3 hand rolls and then lots of nigiri and an app. So good. We’ll be back!

For those who don't want to wait for the punchline: this is the best Japanese food I have had in the US since coming back from a vacation in Japan. While my selections were limited, every single thing I had reminded me of being in Tokyo or Kyoto. The fish selections were exactly what I saw at the fish markets, and tasted on point. The rice had the right texture, and temperature, while the ginger ice cream was a unique spin on an ingredient we see in sushi restaurants, but don't think of in a sweet role. Absolutely fantastic, and would totally recommend anyone go who wants quality, authentic Japanese food!

Great food, but this place is overrated with the reviews, overpriced as well. If you’re looking to eat sushi, Tenji sushi in Mason is same level of quality, if not better, and it’s much cheaper. Service at Ando was lacking when me and my wife went. Our waitress in the beginning basically disappeared forever after she gave us our menus, and then some other lady came by eventually and asked if we had ordered yet. We had like 5 different waiters/waitresses the whole time each coming and going, and when we were ready to pay we had to wait quite a while for somebody to finally take my credit card.

Ando might be the closest thing to real Japanese cuisine you'll find in the Midwest.
Run by an older Japanese couple who are as charming as they are dedicated, this place quietly delivers the kind of food you don’t expect to find in Ohio—like an actual Omakase menu that doesn’t just cater to crunchy rolls and cream cheese cravings.
I wish the menu were tighter—more focused, less sprawling. But hey, I get it. You’ve got to keep the locals happy. Let’s just say it caters to… Midwestern sensibilities.
Still, if you're looking for the real thing—not fried, not smothered, not sweet—Ando is a rare gem in a land of imitation crab.

Ando has the best sushi and chicken teriyaki! Everything’s super fresh, flavorful, and always hits the spot. The staff always remembers us! We come here all the time—never disappoints!

brought my boyfriend for his birthday and i’m glad we discovered this place! service was excellent. everyone was welcoming and our server was helpful in dish recommendation and description. the atmosphere was relaxed and authentic. while the food is a bit expensive, it is well worth the price as it is fresh, quality, and delicious! while i’m not the biggest seafood fan, i really enjoyed the cod appetizer and a good amount of the sashimi in the dinner platter. as well, the katsu curry with pork was tasty and i had enough for leftovers. from appetizers to desserts, we were satisfied with the whole experience. even the matcha is a must. thank you for such a great dinner, we can’t wait to come back and try more! (we really want to try the flan 🫢)
Kind of pricey but the food is authentic and extremely tasty and fresh.
Great service and delicious food. Very clean inside and staff are so accommodating.

Love this place. Best place to get sushi! Always enjoy the food here!
Very intimate place. Great for a date. The service is always up to par. The food is amazing...a little on the pricey side, but worth it in my opinion. One of the best places to get sushi in the tri-state area!
Are you kidding me. $90 for 6 sushi rolls. I’d rather die than eat here again.
This is far and away our go-to for sushi. Food is always fresh and good proportions. The service is always spot-on as well.

Ando is flat out amazing. I have enjoyed sushi throughout Cincinnati and beyond, but the quality of the fish here just blew me away. Our server Jake was also incredibly knowledgeable and helpful in sorting through the many options to make some excellent selections.
