Food and service was great, especially being all the way out in cincy area. Atmosphere was mediocre, but not one to complain about. Their sushi definitely more on the expensive side when comparing to even the major cities, but one of the better end sushi places you can get.

I lived in Japan for some time and this restaurant has great food and a more authentic Japanese menu than most. Very good food and broad selection. Try the bento box or sushi.

After they moved to this new store, I barely seen any Japanese around. The fish is not fresh and the price is ridiculously high. Miso is very salty. 100% overrated, not authentic anymore.

Using good quality fish but very pricy. Food was great but the nigiri size are all different. Some are slightly more rice and some are small portion rice. Not consistent size of nigiri sushi.

I remember the food tasting good at some point in time. I've called ahead twice to confirm hours and told to come in and they're always closed 45 min before their scheduled time. All the staff sitting around a table doing nothing. Ruined our birthday. They used to have lunch hours but I guess not anymore. The placed used to be a small cute little place before they moved to a generic building. If you can't afford to keep your restraunt open during posted hours don't move to a bigger place. 3 hours of service is ridiculous.

Ando has been my absolute favorite restaurant for a few years now and in my opinion, the best sushi in the city. We often come here before leaving for a business trip or when returning from one. It's a very nice tradition we've started.I recently went and had a lovely dinner there. Here's what I had:Sushi:Fatty Tuna nigiriBBQ Unagi nigiriSalmon RollSpicy Tuna RollAppetizers:GyozaBeef Amiyaki (one of their current specials)The meal was so good that I came back a couple days later and ate at the sushi bar again. I tried the Matcha Mascarpone cheesecake and added Anko (red bean) on top which was phenomenal. The Ootoro/fatty tuna nigiri is my favorite, it is so buttery and the yuzu kosho that comes on top adds a nice citrus pepper finish.I look forward to the next time I eat there. Thank you so much for all these delicious meals over the years!

There is no question that Ando has the best, most interesting fish choices in Cincinnati and there is nothing else even close. Yes, it is more expensive than most but the quality and variety is more than elsewhere. The one star down on food is because sometime the o-toro comes out way too firm and other times like butter. When it’s super firm it is not as enjoyable. I don’t know if this is an issue with the cutting or what.
