I used to go to several City Barbecue locations when I lived south of Dayton. I live northeast of Cincinnati OH and this one is probably the closet to me.
One thing I miss is that during the Covid-19 with the government restrictions, many things changed and City Barbecue is more restrictive on their garnishes. I diss the pickle jars that was a favorite thing doe me. I don’t remember what else they offered as garnishes but it seems forever gone.

I really like the food at City BBQ and we've frequented multiple locations. They sent an email for a Holiday Tasting from 11-1 today as well as a gift card promotion. The tasting was very haphazard and wasn't set up until 1130. And the only samples were mashed potatoes and apple pie... no smoked turkey as was advertised. Also when I went to the cashier to purchase gift cards, I was told that that promotion was over. I spoke to the manager and had to show him the date in the email. He was very cavalier about it. Patrons shouldn't be the ones informing mgmt about their own promotions. Customer service needs to be improved as does internal communication.
Quick service for tasty BBQ. Enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich and green beans.

Absolutely delicious and big portions. There were 6 of us and it was nearing closing time. The staff welcomed us and were very friendly. 2 of us had a salad with smoked chicken. The chicken was the most tender smoked chicken breast I have ever had. My grandson had pulled pork sandwich and it was perfect. Husband had smoked sausage sandwich and loved it. Son in law had 1/2 smoked chicken -- it was huge and delicious. Granddaughter had chicken tenders. Everything was perfect. Definitely recommend.

I'm an out of state visitor and this was my 1st time eating here. The person was patient as my wife and I looked over the menu. I ordered the "not a sloppy Joe" and it was the best I've had. Great place. A must if you are in the area
