Nothing but rude! We were ignored multiple times, me and my mother were trying to get a catering service for my brothers wedding I heard so many positive things about this service but we were sadly mistaken. We really wanted to give this service a try but the head chef didn’t want to work with us on anything. We weren’t asking for anything difficult either way I’m disappointed

I came in to get carering for my sons wedding. It was a beautiful establishment until i was ignored for 20 mins untill i spoke to the chef and he was nothing but rude to me and my son about what we wanted on our menu. I've had catering for years and decided to try somthing new .

very bad service. said they would provide silverware and silverware was not brought, as a matter of fact silverware was taken away from our place, we had to use our own silverware for our event. Secondly, 3 pans of chicken was said to be provided, but only 2 pans were brought and we had guests not eat at all because food was missing. Thirdly, desert was provided thankfully, BUT the cookies provided were hard as a rock, a guest complained that as a joke he pounded the cookie to the table and the cookie left a dent on the table.

Service was outstanding, as well. All the staff was attentive and ensured we had the best experience possible.

We were referred to this company for catering for a family members funeral service by the funeral home. My husband called one day, I called the next with no return call. I gave them until noon to reply the second day. I called another catering company who answered the phone and helped me right away. I received a call back at 5:30 on day 2 with the excuse that they were in meetings all day. Sounds like customer service is at the bottom of their priority list. Would not recommend this company at all.

“A sense of commitment.” This is the tagline on Garnish’s homepage and the reason we hired them for my daughter’s wedding, but Garnish dropped the ball in so many ways. We felt NO sense of commitment during or after the event and we paid in full so had no recourse. I emailed asking to discuss the oversights with Chris after the reception and he did NOT EVEN reply.
In both of our planning meetings, we emphasized that the most important thing to us was good service and that the bars did not have a long line for first drinks. We purchased the platinum drink package with additional wine service at dinner- meaning Garnish staff would serve wine to guests while seated so they did not have to go to the bar.
It is obvious that there was ZERO communication between Chris and the head captain Garnish hired to run our even in Chris’s absence. This is what transpired:
We paid for a FULL bar. The “signature drink” of Old Fashioneds was to be batched in a dispenser to save time (Chris’s suggestion), but this is what happened:
-The bar was making Old Fashioneds one by one and they were not serving other alcohol, guests were told “we do not have vodka or gin, etc”. We were doing family pictures during cocktail hour so had no idea this was happening.
-The lines at both bars were ridiculous as they were making the drinks one by one and not serving other mixed drinks, I presume they were understaffed.
-Guests were told we were only serving wine with dinner and that they could not have it at cocktail hour
-When dinner arrived the Garnish staff did not provide the paid for wine service, our wedding planner was rushing around trying to fill 190 glasses of wine by herself to make up for the oversight
-Servers did not refill water with dinner
-Because guests were initially told we did not have alcohol or wine, it appeared the event only had beer and the signature drinks for the whole evening, our group consumed a fraction of the alcohol we had prepaid to be served
Chris showed up as the reception was ending in an attempt to keep the bar open longer, this was way too little, too late-he offered no apologies and we did not want to leave the dance floor to discuss business dealings at time
I emailed him after the event asking to meet to discuss and he DID NOT EVEN REPLY
This was the biggest party we will ever host and entrusted Garnish to provide the service from experienced staff as we were promised.
The owner of the company didn’t even take five minutes to communicate with the head captain he hired for the reception to explain our bar package, NOR did he take 5 minutes to reply to my email after the event when he should have been the one to proactively reach out with an apology.
I hope this prevents someone else from falling for the “exceed expectations” verbiage on their homepage.

Garnish catered our daughter’s wedding at The Palomar and was absolutely amazing! The tasting was intimate, informational, Chef was flexible to work with and offered great suggestions. Everything we tasted was so good! I highly recommend Garnish for any catering event. I never expected to receive so many compliments on the food at the wedding, I highly recommend them for any catering event! The food is outstanding! We’re so grateful The Palomar introduced them to us!

Garnish catered our wedding at The Palomar. We had so much fun planning our menu with the Garnish team! They were working with a picky eater (myself) and it was so fun coming up with creative ideas that really embodied us as a couple. The tasting was amazing, so much food to sample and fun to bounce different ideas around. We got SO many compliments from our guests on our cocktail hour apps and on our buffet selections. Our guests totally cleaned up the buffet, no leftovers! The Garnish team was just as creative when it came to our desserts. We didn’t want to do a wedding cake or a traditional dessert table. They worked with us to develop some personalized, really cool ideas that our guests loved! The team was easy to work with and so fun! Highly recommend!

Amazing food. Phenomenal people. Love the new marketing video. Would love it more if we could get more of the over-whelmingly handsome bearded one with the Spider-Man tattoo.Like, he looks like he fought a bear in the blue ridge and won. Then could go home and knock out a crème brûlée in the worlds nicest fringe jacket. 10/10 should promote above peers.

I have never written a Google review but feel compelled after my recent experience with Garnish. My friend and I hosted a sit down luncheon for 40+ ladies. The tables were set in advance of the Garnish teams arrival and the room was set for a sit down luncheon as planned. The chef chose to set-up a chafing dish for a buffet, did not dress the salad and cut the lunch portion in half. We were serving Hot Browns so each guest received 1/2 of a half of a sandwich. There was an entire table of guests that didn't attend so I am certain that the portion size was not because too many people showed up. I saw the servers preparing for the dessert to be buffet style and I asked them to please serve the dessert as no one is going to walk through a crowded room of ladies to get dessert. I was advised that the chef had prepared it this way and there was no way to change it. As we finished lunch, I noticed that the servers were cleaning up the bar area outside. I had also noticed that no one was going to the dessert buffet. At this time, I cleared the luncheon plates and served dessert with some of our guests. When I called on the following work day to give them my final payments, I told the office manager about our experience. I had also stated that I have been a cater server and chef and know that this was handled poorly and she agreed. I am only surprised that no one called back with an explanation. The other host of the luncheon was also very surprised by the lack of follow-up. Just really disappointing because the food was delicious. I have been to several parties where they have catered and have always liked their food and the servers were always friendly. I was not expecting a discount and would not have accepted one as the food was delicious and our guests were very happy with the food. I just feel that we were over charged because we received half of what we were charged for the entree. An explanation and follow-up would have eased my mind.

Seven of my friends and I just had the best best dinner ever. We started out with wine tasting and all of the wines were fantastic. Two in our party were not wine drinkers, so Chef Chris had margaritas for them. We started with a grilled Caesar salad, that was delightful. Next came grilled salmon with a lobster, crab sauce. The lobster sauce was large chucks of lobster and was devious. Next was a ny strip with cheese mashed potatoes and asparagus that was truly outstanding. For desert was a chocolate brownie with peanut butter. My wife is a chocolate lover and this brownie was outstanding. This was a fantastic dinner and I would highly recommend.

I had a client with the LCOB lose her Bar option two days before her event. I messaged Garnish Catering a little later in the evening and promptly the next morning. They asked me some qualifying questions and I put them in contact with the person running the event. Garnish was able to accommodate her on very short notice. Quality outfit, quality people, and their owner is somebody you'll never forget. The Garnish team is amazing.
