Came in for breakfast on 12/26 and was thoroughly disappointed. I attempted to pay my bill with a 100 bill and said they couldn't accept it. Then after asking for my bagel to be toasted on 2 separate occasions it came to me raw. This place has truly in my opinion gone down hill under new management. Not the first occasion I've been disappointed by the new owners.

My family LOVES Marx! We recently discovered Marx Bagels this year, and we love the variety of bagels offered. Their bagels are very tasty, along with their cream cheese! They have items marked as vegan on the menu which is very helpful. If you eat inside, there are plenty of tables and chairs, which makes it a spacious eating experience. They even have keto bagels!

What good memories from Marx Bagels. I loved the huge location that used to be on Notthland Blvd. The location in Blue Ash is smaller but comfortable. The food is still fantastic! The bagels are soft and delicious. The service was good and my food came out quickly. The egg salad on pumpernickel is the BEST!!

I’ve been coming here for three decades, and I’ve loved it every time. I always make sure to grab a pint or two of their cream cheese before I go back to Chicago!

I ordered a very large spread of bagel bites, pastries, fruit, veggies, and cheese trays for the morning after my wedding and the order was perfect, pick up was organized and easy, and all the food was SO good! The bagels especially were delicious! Best bagels in Cincy in my opinion, and they even won approval from family visiting from NYC. Thanks Marx Bagels!

I've been holding off of commenting on the state of Marx Bagels for the entire run under new ownership so far, but I've finally had it. Attached is a photo of the schmear I got with the 14 (?) dollar Nova and Cream Cheese. Not shown in the picture are the four sad shreds of onion and single wisp of lettuce they served me. I've given them so many chances to get better over the years, but I'm finally done. Quality is highly inconsistent under new ownership--one week the same bagel might be overproofed, the next week under proofed, the next perfect. The sandwich makers are, at best, poorly trained, at worst trained to skimp on portions to increase margin. I can't keep spending money on place that gets it right 33% of the time. It's just too frustrating. John Marx could be a difficult and obnoxious presence in the deli, but he was always present (in person or spirit), and never let an employee get away with letting quality slip. Every one of us who's been a customer for decades probably witnessed him correcting an employee (or customer ;) )who was getting it wrong. But there was pride of ownership and pride of product. I don't know whether the new organization is suffering from parsimony, lack of leadership, or lack of retauranting experience, but this Cincinnati institution has gone the way of Izzy's, and that's just sad.

My only complaint about Marx Bagels is that there is not one closer to me! Their food is DELICIOUS, the staff has never been anything less than friendly and courteous, and the prices are reasonable.
I always take home a container of chopped lox, a pint of cream cheese, and a loaf of challah bread but have had a bagel, matzo soup, and latkes or knishes when I dine in. I am working up to ordering more than my favorites but, since I don't get down there often, I kinda want what I want. 😊 I have no doubt everything else is going to be tasty, though! They have a wide variety (so many bagel choices!) so...one day, I will order something else!
This is, definitely, my favorite bagel place. If the only fault to be found is location, that says a lot!!!
Recommend, recommend, recommend!!!
Vegetarian options: Vegans may have a harder time finding items but, for vegetarians, I had the vegetarian matzo ball soup and enjoyed it a lot!

This place has the best egg cell if I ever had. Amber thinking about my egg salad and every time I'm on this side of town I stop in and get a couple pints. Not to mention their bagels are always excellent.

Self-scanning? No thank you. I try to support small businesses to have a personable experience, not interact with a machine.

Food and service are fine but there are so many flies in there it is insane. Really makes me wonder what the kitchen looks like.

First time here. I ordered " tomato bagel with tuna" and the guy taking my order rudely said " tuna sandwich on a tomato bagel" got it dude, my bad.
Bagel was hard as a rock. I ended up just eating the tuna off the bagel.
Waste of $10.

Six employees glanced at me and not one acknowledgement I was there. Poor or no training. Very slow service. Order delivered not correct. Product delivered was lesser quality than from previous owner.
