Went there around 3:00 pm, today January 13, 2026 and three employees were at the counter (one was helping a customer). In the meantime I watched one employee just stand there doing nothing. The other one was checking her cell phone…with gloves on. She put the phone away after a while and proceeded to pick bagels for an order out of the basket with the same gloves on! When the young woman at the register asked if she could help me I said well first she (the woman with cell phone)needs to replace her gloves. They looked at me with a confused look. I repeated that she needed to replace her gloves because she had touched her cell phone. The employee with the fuzzy hair (and no hair net) said I didn’t have to be so rude. She needed to mind her own business. We have owned restaurants over the years and would never have let any of our employees touch food after touching their phones or anything else. Hand washing was a must snd we always got 97 or 98 on each inspection. Cell phone are full of bacteria because they are in pockets, purses, bathrooms, and are rarely clean. . There is no excuse for this, and the owners need to crack down on this very unsafe behavior. Anyone handling money, Phones or anything but food need to wash their hands and replace their gloves immediately before touching any food. There’s a lot of people with immunocompromise systems that could get deathly sick from bacteria.

Before my daughter returned to Oklahoma she needed to get her Marx bagels. We got six blueberry bagels and blueberry cream cheese. It was approximately 5:30 when we came there. There weren't very many people there in case they were getting ready to close at 6: 00.12-29-25

Been going to this place since I was a kid it was top notch in the 90s. It’s kind of sad to see how it’s gone downhill somewhat. Typically, when you walk in most of the workers act like they’re annoyed to speak to customers they’re busy and active and productive, but they’re bothered by taking orders and calling out orders. The place is also pretty much kind of dirty inside. It’s like I think at times they’re so busy that they don’t have time to clean it up, but I’m sure they make a ton of money and make it easily hire a high school kid to clean tables and counters - the only reason I continue to come back is I love their food and I went there my whole life, but it would be nice to see some cheerful people at the register and helpful people and have it cleaned up a bit - if they are busy in the slightest, I go somewhere else

overall, pretty positive! the food was yummy. staff looked very stressed and i felt bad having to ask them for the things i ordered, for example a water cup. also the person who handed me the sandwich seemed judgey of my order but tbh fair enough. super cute indoors!! a bit pricey for me personally but def recommend you stop in at least once to try it out :)

I live near philly and these guys have been nice enough to mail me bagels that I miss from back when I lived here.
When 513 Fence is out installing fence, we try to find quick easy places to eat. We were in Blue Ash installing an aluminum fence, and stopped in for a quick bite to eat. 513 Fence highly recommends Marx Bagels Blue Ash. Everything we ordered was great!
