I've been ordering the poppyseed Kolache since for years and I'm never disappointed. Excellent pastry. Brings back childhood memories of my Aunt making them. Best all around pastry!

The walnut Kolache is just like my grandmother used to make many years ago, only she didn't use as many nuts. This is the fourth time I have ordered, and I have to say, I do not share with anyone. I savor every loaf not caring about the calories. I am very glad I found this company and I will continue to order to treat myself.

The treats from this bakery are nothing short of fabulous! Absolutely love the Kolachis and the clothespin cookies! They make great gifts as well, and Kolachis freeze well so get a few to have on hand when you want a bite of baked love!

Ordered the pecan cinnamon, kolachi nut roll online. It is so delicious!? The order came quickly with a sweet card from someone at the bakery. 2nd time I have ordered from Butter Maid Bakery. I have frozen the lemon cream & cream cheese rolls for Easter. The pecan roll never made it to the freezer, lol. So yummy!

WAAAAYYYY overpriced!!! I placed an online order for the Italian Rainbow Cookies and peanut butter buckeyes. I read up on the companies "About Us" section and I believed that these cookies were going to have a real bakery quality (which is why I paid the high price). Instead I got cookies that were mediocre and factory made quality. They were dry and tasted like someone bought a box of cookies at the local food store and wrapped them up in a different box. On the upside, the order came quickly but so did the disappointment . Within 2 to 3 days of placing my order.I could have bought a box of rainbow cookies at my local Shoprite for around $10 or 12 bucks and the Shoprite ones would have been fresher tasting and better quality. Lesson learned. Butter Maid charges almost $30 dollars for the rainbow cookies $22 for the peanut butter things, plus shipping....It's outrageous for the 'Meh' level of quality!I won't be buying again. It was my first and last purchase from them.

I lived in Youngstown for 47 years. And this bakery is definitely one of the things that make me proud to say where I was raised. Butter Maid is a staple for any sweets you need for any occasion .. ie, cookie tables! Man, I miss those suckers. I now reside in TN, and still order from the bakery. This bakery honestly makes the rolls just like my Slovak Grandma made when I was growing up. Everything they make is made fresh and shipped to me fresh. The poppy seed roll is the best I have ever had outside my own family. The dough is rolled out thin and delicate and no matter what flavor you get it will be overstuffed with goodness. My family LOVES Butter Maid and I make sure I have my freezer stocked for every holiday and event.
