Should have read reviews first....normally i do...first and last time today...Food was cold. 6 hot dogs and all were cold...fries werent cooked correctly, they were raw/crunchy still.

Very friendly and helpful counter staff. It was our first time there. They made some suggestions, explained the menu and brought our food to our table. The dogs are good. The cheese sauce was acceptable. The chili was fine. I'd stop again if I was in the area wanting chili dogs but wouldn't make a trip there just for them.

Had a craving for a chili & cheese dogs so we had to stop at the Hot Dog Shoppe. I do love their chili sauce & should start asking for a double pour on the dawg or a container of it. It is so flavorful & delicious. My nephew & I couldn’t resist trying the Banana Split & they were amazing! I would have stopped just for one of those drinks. It was delicious. I love the condiment bar & especially that they have the malt vinegar for the crispy taters. It’s a must for me. I also love those strawberry parfaits.
Parking: Parking is right outside the building
Kid-friendliness: Great place to take the kids who love hot dogs and fries. They also have high chairs for the little ones.

We hit the place at 15 minutes before closing but we were greeted politely and not rushed. We ordered hot dogs which were good. I made the mistake of ordering their lemonade. It was the worst lemonade I ever tasted. Because our order was "To Go" I ended pouring it out on the ground. YUCK! I can't say it went sour because lemonade should be sour, maybe rancid or really really old would be a better description, all I know is it wasn't fit to drink.
