Whoever the guy that seats you is very rude. He walks to fast to the table, and if your not there yet he yells out What do you want to drink??? And I find that very rude. Wait till we get to our table and then take our drink order. I dont want to yell throughout the restaurant 5 drink orders! Have some patience. Especially with older people and young children who don't walk fast. The food is ok. Nothing great.

I hadn't been to a Chinese Buffet in many years. A friend and I went this past Sunday and weren't disappointed in the least. The setting was casual dinning and had a friendly atmosphere. The selection of Delicious Food, Desert, and Soups was almost overwhelming to choose from. I will make it a point to return more often. Make sure when you go to be hungry. There is so much to choose from. 👍

Nice staff, food has been declining over past few times I've gone in the last 2 years. It is always a quick and easy choice bcse I have teenage boys and its the closest and cheapest buffet to the southside of Youngstown. Price is great for all you can eat!!! So last visit, fruit wasn't sweet at all and hot food not as fresh as past times. Our waitress only checked on us once for drinks and then came and gave the bill with not a word, just placed it on the table. Staff that relies on tips should be more friendly in my opinion, although we still gave her a $5 tip. Ofcourse the host is the very best every time as usual. Very pleasant man!! We always enjoy him. Unfortunately we probably will be looking for a similar style buffet going forward.

Food was okay; the sushi was good. Our waitress was very rude and extremely forceful when the bill came. We were charged more than the posted price and when she gave us our bill she tried to take the money out of my friend’s wallet for him! When she came back with our change/card she hovered over our shoulders and demanded a larger tip (apparently 30% is not good enough).

I’ve visited Royal Buffet in Boardman several times. The food is average, but the service is a big problem. The waitresses are friendly while serving, but once it’s time to check the tip, they grab the receipt without a word — no thank you, no eye contact, just attitude if they don’t like the amount. I do tip every time, but it’s never enough for them, apparently.
I had the exact same experience at a Royal Buffet in Delaware too. It seems like a pattern — acting overly nice while serving, then cold and rude afterward. That’s not how tipping should work.
Begging for tips doesn’t look good on you, especially when you make customers feel uncomfortable. Respect should be given whether the tip is big or small. Management needs to seriously fix this behavior.

Great selection of food to pick from on the buffet. They even have a Mongolian type selection where you can get the food and have them cook it for you. Not a fan of sushi, but they had a lot of sushi also.

The food is good but its not at all hot, the waitress was so nice and the check out guy just not very nice at all he told us he was smart when I told them they under charged us. So we left and let him be smart but his drawer will be short tonight. Last time for doing something right. The place looks old and dirty.
