This is the best battered haddock I've had around Ytown. Had a great conversation with Kelly while waiting and you are right. Malt Vinegar/ Garlic with tartar sauce is the best. My wishlist would be Seniors menu and of course, Pacific or Alaskan Cod once in awhile. Great place and great food.

Today was my 3rd visit and each time I got a different item! The Italiano, The New York Chopped Cheese and the Jalapeño Burger were all outstanding and also got fresh cut fries! Staff is very friendly and welcoming!

Stopped in this afternoon. We were searching for a deli with subs online. What a nice surprise. Fresh tasting, huge turkey,ham. and cheese sub. Reminded me of a NY deli hero. Owner was very nice and cordial. Definitely will come back!

I was going through the worst time of my life. My plants were dying, my cat had started judging me openly, and to top it all off, my ex had just left me for a guy who brews his own kombucha and wears toe shoes. I had no hope, no joy, no reason to go on… until I stumbled into Shaffer’s Deli.
And there it was. The Italian sub. Glorious. Toasted. Layered like a Renaissance painting. I took one bite, and suddenly the skies cleared. A choir of deli angels sang in perfect harmony. I wept. A single, salty tear rolled down my cheek — not from sadness, but because they put just the right amount of pepperoncini.
By the time I finished, I had a fresh lease on life. I got a promotion, my cat gave me a slow blink of approval, and I matched with someone who appreciates cured meats as much as I do. Shaffer’s didn’t just serve me a sandwich — they served me salvation.
10/10 would emotionally spiral again just for that sub.

We ordered from Shaffer's Deli today for our Friday lunch at work and it was delicious!! We ordered everything from a Chef salad to hot and cold subs and specialty sandwiches. Every order was fresh and delicious!! Great family business. We will definitely be putting Shaffer's on our lunch rotation. 100% recommend you try!
