Food was good and served with a smile. Music was so loud we couldn't talk.

Ordered the Prime Rib medium, it came out very rare. They did put it back on for me and was better. I expect some fat on a prime rib but this was 60-70% fat. Was just too much and I did mention it to the waitress. Everything else was just fine. Wasn't impressed for a first time visit. If I go back, it won't be for the prime rib.

Service was great. The best fresh fries. And gave us a ton! Sweet thai wings were delicious. Chicken was very tender. Reasonably priced. If I lived in the area, I could see myself being a regular.

The Towpath Tavern is a very clean, nicely appointed place to eat and drink in historic downtown Bolivar. The wait staff was very friendly. The food items that we ordered were very average for a "bar". It was just kind of "food", if you know what I mean.I would go back when in the area. Summer offers a large outdoor seating area.Vegetarian options: Typical no-meat options.

I got the broiled lake Erie walleye and wow it was one of the best I've had! The service was very good, fast and the food came out perfect. Highly recommend and will be going back.

They are looking for a chef and a dishwasher. My wife got the flat iron steak with mashed potatoes. She ordered her steak medium,it came out rare,it took 3 tries to get it right. I got the wagu burger with hot pepper cheese with fries and coleslaw. Our server was great though and when my wife dropped her purse, she brought it out to us as we were leaving. The place was very family friendly. I'm sure once they get the help they need, the steaks will be better. I'm sure we'll go back and try other items.

Nice local bar restaurant environment. I had the cod dinner with a baked potato. The baked potato was done nicely. The cod batter was a little greasy, indicating the fryer was not hot enough. I'm sure this was only due to it being busy, which is a testimony to the overall food quality and customer satisfaction. I would go back again.
