Call of the Canyon Cafe

Had lunch at Call of the Canyon today. The special happened to be mac and cheese, bogo 1/2 off. Excellent choice - I'd recommend that you visit on Mondays. 😋

This was my second time going. The restaurant closed in an hour and our waitress told us we could dine in but we had to hurry up. Our waitress seemed annoyed any time we asked for a side of sauce or a refill on water. My friend and I left 30 minutes before they closed anyway but the waitress seemed she was in a rush to get us out

I got the new sheriff in town, it was basically a philly chees steak but sauce instead of cheese. There was ALOT of sauce and it was good but very wet. Made eating difficult. It was also served with about half a family bag of ruffles. The service was nice if not a little inexperienced. Bathroom garbage can was very full.

I ordered a catering order to be delivered. Call of the Canyon did amazing! We had 60 boxed meals and the food was amazing!

Vegetarian options: We had the veggie wrap as an option. It was flavorful and delicious!

The food is always excellent and the staff are friendly. It's a nice, casual diner with plenty of comfort food options.

My childhood favorite local restaurant. It used to be at least. Unfortunately after they got bought out years back it hasn't been the same since.

Stopped here for lunch on a long journey with two dogs. We’re welcomed at their outside table and served a very tasty sandwich, which came with locally made tortilla chips and salsa. Pie for dessert was a huge treat and also delicious. But the best part was sitting on a lovely Main Street and having an extremely nice server take special interest in our comfort and our doggie’s water, etc. Just the nicest people work here and the fabulous sandwiches (with veggie options) were very good.

Walked into this place because I’m a sucker for a place that has pie and I love cactus decor. Loooovedddd the pulled pork Mac and cheese. Been in BG area for a year and never really explored but this will be a fav of mine now. Glad I happened upon it. Service was great. Highly recommended.

Everything is delicious! I love the Triple Salad plate with a scoop of each tuna, chicken salad, and egg salad - all three were wonderful. The sunrise burrito is also a hit. The Call of the Canyon Cafe is one of the best lunch spots in Bowling Green!

Pleasantly surprised. The staff is really nice, the food is actually well done and filled with flavor, and the keylime pie isn’t filled with 5 cups of sugar. You can actually enjoy the flavors of the food and have good conversation without blaring music making you deaf.
