The food and service were both excellent! The employee was extremely friendly and very helpful. Our group asked a lot of questions and the employee gladly answered. I was very pleased with my meal and will definitely be visiting there again.

I ordered avocado toast, 2 eggs extra super hard, and hashbrowns ultra uber crispy, and recieved fresh avocado and tomato over medium done wheat toast with eggs that had no run to them and hashbrowns that were not burn just super duper crispy. These guys know how to take an order and aren't afraid to fulfill it! The hashbrowns were unseasoned and the eggs were salted, neither of which I minded but just a heads up to anyone ordering. Also, all this for 10 bucks! Heck yeah!
The atmosphere is also super chill and seating options include lowbacks or a high top in the window areas. Only improvement I can think of would be plugs for laptops. I just stopped in while running errands (5 min wait for food) but I saw a few people studying or working and like the vibe for it. Excited this place is established here in BG. Looo forward to coming again.

City Egg is a solid breakfast spot in BG. Everything came out fast and hot. The eggs, bacon, and biscuits/gravy were all on point. Super clean and easy vibe. Feels a little chain-y, but it works. Great spot to fuel up and keep it moving. We’ll definitely swing back next time we’re in town.

I usually love City Egg—their omelets are delicious, and the location is just a few blocks from my apartment. However, today was a busy Sunday morning, and unfortunately, a lot of mistakes were made in the rush. I ordered an avocado omelet with a couple of modifications, specifically without bell peppers and salsa due to my allergy, and added onions and mushrooms. Unfortunately, my order was completely wrong—I received an omelet with extra peppers, no onions or mushrooms, and barely any avocado, which was disappointing since they usually include plenty. It was frustrating to realize this after I had already left. That said, the staff were friendly, and my drink was made quickly!

Great food. The cinnamon roll pancakes were and egg skillet were fantastic. The avocado omelet was good. I only gave service three stars because you order your own food and pick up food on your own so there wasn’t service. Did not like the tablet ordering. A QR code would work better.

We waited in a very long line to order our food. The girl at the register was literally just sitting there staring at us not saying a word. She didn’t think to mention that there was OVER AN HOUR wait for our food after we paid over $30. The manager was apparently not in the store, helping their workers handle a large breakfast rush. We were informed there was “nothing they could do at the moment” regarding a refund. DO NOT go here unless you want poor service.

Early Sunday morning, my friends and I ordered from the convenient self service kiosk. From there, it goes down hill: - my friend ordered 1 plain biscuit. Not a sandwich, but a biscuit. And it took 20 minutes… I could have driven to krogers and back with 20 biscuits in that time. And it was ICE cold
- I ordered the tacos. Edible. But the salsa on the side came out boiling. I have never seen salsa served boiling and literally bubbling. Disgusting!
-lastly, we ordered the biscuits and gravy. Went straight into the garbage. No explanation needed.
Do yourself a favor and go to Kermit’s.
