We visited BG all the time when our son went to college here. Our go to for dinner on Fridays was El Zarape. They have a wide variety on the menu, but we always loved the chicken soup, Sopa Azteca. We have tried many Mexican restaurants near home, none can compare to the rich flavors, abundant chicken, and freshness with the avocado and pico de gallo.

The tacos were a great portion. The enchiladas were not the best we have had. The green salsa did not have the normal "kick." Service was ok. In my opinion it's not the worst or the best, it's simply ok.

The service was really good. The waiter was quick and responsive. The food came out very quickly and everyone really enjoyed all of their meals. Will definitely go again! The fajita nachos were delicious!

El Zarape is a staple in the restaurant landscape in Bowling Green. Great food, always quick and hot when brought out. Servers are always kind and attentive. Always high on my list of places to go when in BG! If you’re into margaritas, they are a must! Bottomless chips and salsa never hurt anyone!
Parking: Lots of parking around the restaurant, they are located in the primary location in a strip mall, so no shortage of parking
Kid-friendliness: Kids are always welcome! Plus a kids menu and coloring sheet and crayons, the kids are kept busy.

The food was delicious at El Zarape. I had the carnitas and they were very flavorful and moist. The rice was also amazing! The service was thorough. The food came out pretty quick. Our server was very kind to us. The atmosphere was relaxing. The restaurant was very clean. I definitely recommend this place.
