This is one of my favorite places to eat. The food is great, the restaurant is gorgeous, but unfortunately the service is typically so bad. The servers move so slow and are underwhelming. It's the only downside to dining here.

Stopped in early Friday evening of BG's family weekend. They were quite busy, but seemed to handle it well. We shared the pretzel sticks app and then all got the smash burgers. Food was great quality - we enjoyed it all. Slight mix-up on my wife's order, as she asked for chips but was given fries. But I was well into the Interstellar Overdrive IPA so I was in no mood to complain. Cool brewpub!

My husband and I decided to try a new spot in BG and glad we did! This place did not disappoint! Our waitress quick and friendly. The food was delicious and all tasted homemade. 100% recommend , my husband ordered a cider beer that was very crisp. We also ordered chicken nachos, pretzels with jalapeño cream cheese which was anmazing and chicken chunks. We will be back.

Service was awful. Had to ask for my food order. Brought out cold. No utensils nor napkins given. Eating outside and my hands were messy from the delicious food. Had to pick up my phone and things with extremely messy hands. Went to bathroom to wash my hands and items, and there were no paper towels. Just really bad service.
Stopped in during the Rally BG on Main event this weekend for to-go drinks. The ordering area was very unorganized and confusing. It wasn't just us who were confused while we were reading the menu out of the way, a line formed behind us of people trying to order. The server taking to-go orders was very short and rude during all of our interacts. My friends and I all ordered on separate tabs and he shortened two of their names in the system. Normally this wouldn't be a big deal however when waiting for our names to be called we weren't sure if they were our drinks or someone else's due to the switch. We each paid between $11-$14 for our drinks. Two of us ordered cocktails each of which were $14. The peach tequila cocktail seemed like plain soda water, we weren't sure if there was any alcohol in it at all. It tasted reminiscent of a cheap seltzer dumped into cup. My prosecco and elderflower drink tasted like straight prosecco. Neither of us finished our drinks. Our third friend ordered a wheat ale beer that she really didn't love but was able to finish. I wouldn't have been as upset about not liking the drinks we tried (obviously trying something new means you might not like it) however the servers attitude along with how expensive the lackluster cocktails were left us not wanting to return to Juniper.

I’ve been to this restaurant twice now. Once a few months ago, and once today. The food is great and the staff are all kind. I had absolutely no complaints the first time I visited, but this time is another story. I had to wait WELL over an hour for my food after being seated. Probably the longest I have EVER had to wait at a restaurant…on top of that, my sandwich was made wrong. Overall lovely place with good food but today’s visit has just been an unpleasant experience.

We waited 20 minutes for a waitress to take our drink orders and another 45 minutes for our food to come out. The food was disappointing. Chicken bites were dry and the fries were cold. Throughout we had to flag down the waitress to request silverware, drinks, extra sauce, etc. The only saving grace was the drinks were good.

I always loved this restaurant and the atmosphere. The vibes it brings can be if you want to have a chat with friends, dinner with family, or a study session. The food is exquisite as it includes different options like if you are gluten free. Food doesn’t take long to get to your table and the service is amazing. I highly recommend this place is you are a towny or visiting Bowling Green.
Myself and others have come here for years to enjoy the food, drinks, and atmosphere. This morning, my fiancée and I came to enjoy some food and do wedding planning because of the warm, welcoming environment.
What we were welcomed with was the same nice physical atmosphere, but loud millennial pop that left little room for us to concentrate, have conversations, and enjoy the nice space. Usually, I would put in my noise-canceling AirPods and play my own music, but they were no match to the loud music coming from the overhead speakers. I can’t speak for others there, but I did notice people having to raise their voices to have a conversation with others at the table.
I would like to reiterate that typically the space is inviting, popular with locals, and offers an exceptional drink and food menu; but this instance where we were planning the most important day of our lives was distracting and difficult. This experience would have been just as great my others had the music been calmer and quieter.
Restaurantji Recommends
Walked out because I was ignored in a nearly empty restaurant, well the bartender yapped it up with two ladies.
Need the music to change. It's on repeat
Incredible staff, good beer, good food! A must if you are in the area!
We stopped when we were in town for orientation at BG. I had a slight problem with my food and it was handled very well by our server. There were 4 of us and we all enjoyed the food and atmosphere. We would go back today if we had time. We would definitely recommend.
Stopped real quick right before closing and Isabel was gracious enough to let us order some food. Smash burger was great and our beers were great too! Interstellar Overdrive (Hazy IPA) was a gem to say the least! They also had a selection of canned beers available “to go” that we are happy we took advantage of.
