First time in, at the suggestion of a friend. Food was really good and the price for the potions was more than fair. Service was good and they have half price wine on Thursday!! We will return when we visit BGSU again.
I really wanted to like this place, but the experience was just uncomfortable. The bartender was absolutely wonderful. She was friendly, attentive, and clearly doing her best. But the environment behind the bar was unsettling. The man who I assume was the owner appeared to be drunk, slurring his words and stumbling around. At one point, he was awkwardly touching the female bartender in ways that made me and my friends uncomfortable. She handled it professionally, but it was upsetting to witness. Won’t be coming back.
Great food. Nice atmosphere. Good wait staff.
Banging steak burgers!
Not the type of steak I was hoping for. Presented more roast like. Flavor was ok. Wood plate was visually neat but a pain when trying to cut the steak as the bottom of the plate/platter wasn't flat. The atmosphere was fantastic. The service was great for how busy they were. All of the food I saw being served looked good, too. If we were in the area longer, we would probably go back.
Great place, loved the atmosphere and the owners are great. Only found this place three days left in my business trip and this is were I went those three nights. Great food as well!
Very cool little bar. A tad pricey. Brown jug steak wasn't worth the hype.
Tried Trotters for the 1st time tonight, and the experience was so great I had to take a few minutes to leave a review. The waitress Ellie was super friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was great. But the food was the true star of the night. I had the Big Brown Jug with French Onion Soup and a ceasar salad. I'm very picky with my steak and by picky I mean I like a great piece of meat, salted and peppered cooked rare with a good crust. I do not like steak sauces or marinades typically. But when is Rome. So I tired the Brown Jug and loved the tangy sauce and was blown away at how tender the sirloin cut was. I will be back and would highly recommend Trotters Tavern to anyone who asks!
Had an exceptional Salmon, Loaded Fries, and the legendary steak! Such amazing food and great service!
Amazing food and service. Staff ensuring our experience was memorable. Well worth the wait for a brown jug. If you have never been please be patient. Enjoy the atmosphere while your steak is cooking to perfection.

Waited an hour for several brown jugs. When finally served it was cold. Service was sub par. I have liked this place for years so I am hoping that this is a one off bad day.
Never had a bad meal here. And yet have not eaten here in 15 yrs.
Always a great steak
New owners are definitely new at the restaurant business, but they'll get it together and match the service to the steak eventually
I had the trotters steak. It sucked, chewy, full of fat. I had to spit a piece out because it was like leather. My husband's fish was overcooked.
Service was spotty. The waitresses seemed over worked. There was a teenager sitting at the end of the bar on his phone, not working. I'm not driving from Wauseon for this crap.
I think we'll just stick to Easy Street.
