Trotters Tavern - Bowling Green, OH

I had the trotters steak. It sucked, chewy, full of fat. I had to spit a piece out because it was like leather. My husband's fish was overcooked.

Service was spotty. The waitresses seemed over worked. There was a teenager sitting at the end of the bar on his phone, not working. I'm not driving from Wauseon for this crap.

I think we'll just stick to Easy Street.

We got the ruebens, were very good. Food was good all around, nice selection of brews and good old feel to the place

Outside of their jug steak the rest of the food is ok to outright bad. Prices are very high with small portions. Service is always slow, consistently waiting on the servers; kitchen seems to get dishes out fast though. Every time I go there's always something wrong: one visit the Mac and Cheese came out cold. Another visit our onion petals were burnt, and today I had a Reuben where half of the sandwich didn't have any meat.

Won't be going back, and there are better options in town for steak.

Stay away. Been there twice in the last couple of months and both times the food and service has been absolutely terrible. Way over priced for a small portioned tough chewy steak. Tiny dirty bar atmosphere.

For many years, my family and I have enjoyed Trotters Tavern. My out of town family often picks Trotters as their restaurant of choice when they come to Bowling Green. Last Saturday one of my brothers madec reservations for celebration dinner for my mom who is 94. There were six of us at the dinner.Immediately upon ordering we were told there were no chicken breasts available. We arrived at 6 PM, So there was no excuse for a long night of chicken orders before we arrived. Very disappointing.We ordered our dinners at approximately 6:15 pm. At that time my brother told our server that we needed to Leave by 7:40 PM for another engagement. When our dinners failed to arrive by 730, we attempted to cancel the dinners, but we were unable to do so. We never touched a bite of our food. The dinners were packaged up, but we were in unable to take advantage of them That evening as we had another engagement, as we reported earlier to our server. At no time during our wait, did our server come to our table and give us an update on our meals. Afterwards we were told that the manager contacted the owners and nothing was offered, not even an apology for the inconvenience and most importantly, the expense.Consequently, no one in my family will choose trotters again. And that is very disappointing because we have been frequenting the restaurant for many many years.

This company hasn’t offered any resolution to the poor service and food I had. They read 2 separate messages I sent without a single word. I wouldn’t recommend the food with the hospitality and price that was given.
