What a great different option to have for a fresh, fast, affordable meal! Came in for lunch and got a small bowl with yellow rice, black beans, roasted pork and it comes with a salad. The cilantro dressing is delicious! The staff was so friendly and asked if I wanted to try anything before i ordered. I tried the buttermilk chicken and the pork, both were so delicious, flavorful and tender. you get a very good portion for the small bowl, I didn't even eat it all. It's also so cute and clean inside. I will definitely be back!

This place is absolutely outstanding! Everything is so flavorful and delicious, the portions are very generous, and I've never left here hungry! Everyone who works here is so friendly and welcoming, and I am treated like family everytime I visit. You can tell they take great pride in their restaurant and what they serve, and take good care of whoever comes in the door. I love eating here and those I've taken here always love it just as much as I do.
The pork was fall apart tender and juicy. The Dominican chicken was savory and rich in flavor. Highly recommend anyone who likes Latin cuisine to give it a try!
Stopped by to get a haircut and Carolos the Barber, and decided to give Tropical Bay a shot. EXCELLENT DECISION. No restaurant has lasted in this small complex for countless years, and the owners are just getting established, such as working on a liquor license, more staff, etc. You order from the counter, and pick up your items for dine in or carry out!Here's the scoop folks. If you want authentic food, and a hard-working fun loving couple taking care of you, then this is a must for you.The food was superb, and the conversation even better! I pray this couple knocks it out of the park because they are so nice, and genuinely care about their food.One more thing---The serving sizes are large!

We came here for dinner because we heard that the food was really good. I was a little disappointed that there was no table service here. But really, in the end, it wasn't a big deal. The server was super friendly and made us feel like we were regular customers.The food was even better than I thought it was going to be. There were a lot of choices. Multiple rice types, as well as quite a few protein options. The chicken, beef, and pork selections were very flavorful. I had Cuban rice, with Jamaican chicken, Yuka (which is much like potato), and salad. It all comes in one bowl, but you get a good portion of each.Since it was our first time, the server gave us some samples to try. Unfortunately, everything was so good that it made our decision that much more difficult. But I guess that is a nice problem to have.They have Latin music playing in the background, so it gives the place a nice atmosphere. We were the only ones in there eating at 6pm. On this particular Saturday, we saw quite a few people coming in and out. So my guess is that almost everyone does take-out instead of eating in.We will definitely be back to try some other options.
