I was in my Brunswick store and asked an employee (Marcie) to help me with the Meijer's app. She was very gracious and very helpful.
My biggest comment is the app is not user friendly.

This was my first visit to a Meijer store. I was a bit overwhelmed at first because of the sheer size of it. I found that the produce selection was very fresh and well maintained. I wasn't very impressed by the deli options. I disliked the sushi here, like Giant Eagle, they do not season their sushi rice and the Wasabi was nasty. The meat selection was incredible, a gourmet delight if you have the money. I did feel that the store was clean, neatly organized, well stocked and awesome employees. I will say that the coffee aisle alone will make me come back regularly. As a true coffee snob, I was in heaven.

I didn't really look at the home side of the store since I was stopping by for a few things which turned into a lot of things. Side note, those small carts can hold a lot more than you would expect. It took more than one trip to bring all my groceries in.

I used their scan and buy feature to help speed up my visit. As it was my first time using it, I was slow. Lol. I did need some help to check out especially since I had such a large purchase. Any purchase over a certain amount requires an employee to verify a number of items. This hopefully keeps people honest and prevents loss.
Overall, I recommend you check them out even if it is farther away than your normal grocery store. Think of it as a Target/Walmart hybrid with better quality food.

Update from 2 years ago, nothing worse than having a full cart at 10pm and you get up to the 20 registers and nobody is there to ring you out. I asked the self check out person if there would be someone to check me out. Her response, in about 15 minutes. I asked why she responded i have people on break. I responded you also have customers. This is a premier store that spends millions of dollars on advertising and products. Staff your stores. Just ridiculous, I left the cart maybe next time i guess, now you can put all the product back since you don't have anyone to provide customer service.. Great store, open til midnight every night. Dont make much sense to lock one of the doors at 10pm especially when you park in that handicap spot. Only complaint is the cashier looks at you to bag your own items. Not happening.

Recently they have been TERRIBLE for pickup orders. It’s never ready on time. I placed the order two days ago and it’s still not ready 35 minutes after the appointed time. What is so hard about this?

Ordered delivery for yesterday. It shows up at 6 am and 8 hours late. No call or message saying anything at all about order issues. Talked to the service desk. All they said was “gee sorry” terrible way to conduct business!! Giant eagle and Marc’s gets our grocery budget now.

Very unpleasant experience with Shipt delivery person. I inquired why I wasn't asked 'is there anything else?' before my order went to checkout- EVERY previous shopper I ever had asked me that. The shopper became extremely defensive. Long and short of it, Shipt shopper CANCELLED my order after it was already on its way to me. I had to reach out to multiple entities to complain and make sure that my payment was refunded. Many times I NEED delivery because chronic health issues keep me from being able to shop for myself. I give Brunswick Meijer 4 stars, this particular Shipt shopper should get NONE.
