We recently moved to the area and were happy to find The Backyard, we've been here several times since. Food is good, drinks are good, and the atmosphere is fun and casual. Service is great and the staff are very friendly. We haven't experienced the outdoor area - yet. They host a number of parties and have entertainment - games, music, etc. As some have said, service can get a bit slow when they're busy - but do you really want to go to a restaurant that has nobody in it?

Absolutely nothing has changed with new ownership. Came in to eat. Sat on patio. Waited for 25 mins and nobody came to serve us. Tons of volleyball people and one poor person behind the bar. It’s a great place if owners/management could service and take care of customers. So we had to take our business to a different place that had a patio. Unfortunately we couldn’t support this local business. :(.

I really didn't eat but the hummus place was good. Bar was on top of your order.Atmosphere fun and lively. I was outside enjoying a band 3 monkeys they played a wide variety of fun music to listen and dance too! Not really any dance area so danced in grass...otherwise fun time,!

Huge patio and outdoor bar. Great neighborhood atmosphere. Sand Volleyball court and an indoor bar as well. Good variety on the menu and everything tasted very good!

When we first arrived the bar was empty but the place quickly began to fill. the bartenders were commendable in their efficiency. My positive experience, however, was significantly dampened by the subsequent appearance of the owner and his family arrived. We witnessed him immediately stride behind the bar and, in the middle of a winning Guardians game, abruptly switch it off to play blaring music. For a establishment touting itself as a sports bar, interrupting our state's games is simply unacceptable.

Stopped in to watch a playoff game and was very pleased! Great customer service, food and environment. Definitely gonna return.

New ownership feedback: Music is better, crowd is nice and indoor renovations are nice. Although, the staff has no sense of urgency. Bartenders especially. The bar was crowded at all corners and bartenders are walking in slow motion, I stood waiting for a bartender for about 20 minutes. I manage a popular high traffic bar/restaurant. If I was manager on duty at this place I’d tell the bartenders to put some pep in their step. Otherwise, really cool place.

Under new ownership and they have already turned it around , inside and outside, it’s amazing!. Food and service was phenomenal and they were packed and staff was attentive and on top of things which is so impressive for a grand opening weekend. Great beer selection, seltzers and wine! My new go to spot when I’m in town!
