First let me begin with I have loved 🥰 ur atmosphere & food for a longggg time! Last nights experience was horribly disappointing! I invited a friend with me last night (6:30p on 3/1/25)that had never had a Father John’s experience! We sat at the bar and from the get-go our experience last night started off poorly!!!! Ugh I don’t even know where to begin! Tina G (check #66471 was my check, I did not note my friend’s check #) was the bartender/waitress! She walked past us many times speaking to those to the left & right of us without acknowledgment or even making eye contact. We asked multiple times if we could place an order! Finally, barely stopping she took the order while standing at the register with her back to us! We ordered an appetizer (bruschetta ) & drinks. My drink came and it was SO strong & bitter that I asked for some more apple cider to cut it and still it was not palatable (took 2 sips total) to even drink. I asked that she just remove it from my bill that I did not want it. It was obvious that she was irritated. 10mins later she took our entrée orders (2 rib plates)after asked multiple times and she again had her back to us. Then she returned to let us know she only had 1 rib order available so we decided to split it instead of ordering anything else. Our food came out but not or appetizer. Tina proceeded to tell us she did not hear the order (she did because she asked us whose check it was going on!) and was argumentative about it. The people setting to the left us even spoke up to her about the fact they heard her ask who’s check it goes on! I don’t know that I EVER felt more unwelcome & dismissed! I am sad & embarrassed (for you) that my friend’s 1st experience with Father John’s was so incredible poor!! I know you can do better! Tina G needs to slow down so that customer experience is absolutely #1! And that eye contact and talking the time with customers sets the tone of the visit! In better news the food was amazing! 😻

Very unique atmosphere! The basement of a church. A little mystery, a little whimsy, a little spooky. By the way, the food is also excellent!

What a cool place and awesome story. This restaurant was in a beautiful old church (1853).
The decor is eclectic. The garden is beautiful. Food is good. I had a beer. It was good. Katie was fun to talk to... She wasn't even our server. It was a great night with good friends

First time for us visiting the area and as soon as I saw this place I knew we had to check it out. It's a very unique place for sure. We had dinner and spent a few minutes afterwards walking around the buildings. It was a saturday night and there was no wait for a table and our service was fantastic. I tried a few of the beers they brew there and have no complaints. Now that I have family living in the area we will definitely be returning

Parking: Street parking... depending on day of the week and time you may have to walk a bit but typically shouldn't be an issue

Fathers Johns has gone downhill since covid. We use to go there 3-4 times per year. Its a interesting church atmosphere with humor built into it. The food was on point , good portions and we loved the ambiance.

Our latest visit was one we will not forget. After looking at the menu I asked the waitress was the chicken like 6 oz or larger? She said it was half a chicken..like split down the middle. We ordered the roasted chicken and scoop of mashed potatoes. I am NOT KIDDING when it was served the chicken half was literally like a mini chicklet. (baby chicken) I have never seen such a small dried out chicken, I looked more like quail or a dove on top of a small scoop of mashed potatoes. As a waiter I would of been embarrassed to deliver that to anyone. Heck there was maybe 3 bites of meat on this thing, I would of got more out of a 4 piece chicken nugget. This platter was more suited for a child. To top it off our drinks were delivered in purple solo cups. The bill came close to $60!!!! I left hungry and irritated. It is experiences like this that I will never go back. 5 stars for the ambiance, 1 star for the food.

This place is definitely worth the atmosphere. It's beautiful in and out. The garden was very peaceful to eat in. It was not busy for a holiday weekend and a reservation would not have been needed. The food choices are lacking and the food is over priced. What we ended up ordering was ok. Nothing mind blowing, but good. This is probably a once in a lifetime place we will visit.

Over rated. Confusing decor. The churchy menu, decorations and chairs seemed a bit of a mockery to the Christian faith. Not a place I’ll be going back to.

We had Michael as our server. He was absolutely amazing. Our food on the other hand, not so much. It cost $60 for a steak that was way over cooked and had to be sent back. Once receiving a new steak it was still tough and chewy. Not sure if it was the cut of meat but we were very dissatisfied with the price we paid and what we got.
