“My truck driver husband and I found ourselves in Caldwell for a couple nights and I found this restaurant very close to the truck stop where we stayed. My husband ordered mashed potatoes and chili because he is getting over a tooth extraction and I visited the salad bar. We visited separately and got to-go orders because our truck dog 🐶 doesn’t like to be left alone. My husband polished off his order in the truck and when I went later on he asked me to bring him more chili. The salad 🥗 bar is old school, including lime gelatin, chocolate pudding, pasta salad, pickled beets, and potato salad. If I were in charge I would ask for another type of leafy green besides just iceberg- maybe spinach - but I enjoyed everything and plan to return in the morning to try some pancakes. 🥞“
