I luv this little place. The food is always delicious and worth the wait for fresh hot food. The table had grilled chicken, fried chicken, the bone in pork chops, and the sirloin. The sides were bountiful. Our server forgot our fried green tomatoes and waters for the table. However she accommodated with a very sweet birthday dessert. The whole dining area sang. The goats were out and they're hilarious. Great time had by all. Thank you for a great night!

Schoolhouse restaurant is a place worth doing for the unique experience that it provides. The history it was a two room school from way back. Converted one room to a kitchen and the other is the dining room. Menu is on the blackboard. Pick an entry and the rest is served family style. The food is excellent with fried chicken their specialty. The gravy, green beans, corn, corn bread, andashed potatoes are excellent in taste and preparation. The staff are friendly and very conversational. Long time employees with the owners been around a long time. If you desire a family type atmosphere for a meal do this place.

Such a cute idea/place, beautiful building, Bri was amazing taking care of us, and the food was great… it’s way better if you come with a group because the portions are big and yummy.

Hospitality at its best !! We hosted our company Christmas party here and it was absolutely perfect ! Beth coordinated everything from beginning to end . Our bartender, Bri was delightful. Our host, Janice was amazing . She had the venue exquisitely decorated. I brought decor but didn’t even bring it in because she had the place beautifully decorated . Make this your next event venue for sure !

Charging $236.00 for a Thanksgiving meal is outrageous. The food is good, but I can cook my own Thanksgiving meal for half that cost, if not less. I was charged the equivalent of 4 restaurant dinners for 2.
All I got was turkey, green beans, macaroni, mashed potatoes, stuffing, corn bread, rolls & gravy.
Also, if you pre-order the meal for a pick up & you arrive after the pick up time, your order should still be ready & waiting on you. Instead, they don't even get it together until you arrive. So not only do you have to wait, but if you're late, they might run out of a side that you ordered in advance. That's what happened with me & that's not right.

The food was pretty good. I went with three people, two of which got cheeseburgers and one got the fried chicken. The 18$ cheeseburger tasted just like one from any basic restaurant that would charge 12-15 for it, not worth it, but the chicken was definitely worth the money. It came with multiple sides that were able to be refilled and all of them were delicious. The problem was the service. Our server was great but they have a ‘server table’ which is in a corner of the very small dining area and we could hear the servers talking about anything and everything. For an establishment that charges around 20$ per plate I would expect the servers to take pride in their work and be more put together, I saw a server walk out of the kitchen, looking like she just rolled out of bed, with pajama pants, a sweatshirt, and a messy bun. It seems to me that the servers don’t take pride in their work and their choice of attire reflects how much the owners seem to care about the customer experience. All of the servers were dressed very casually in sweatpants and sweatshirts, which wouldn’t be as big of a deal if I was at McDonald’s. But McDonald’s holds their employees to a higher standard of appearance than this establishment, that charges 20$ per plate. I was very impressed with some of the food, but it started to taste worse when I saw how their servers, the people who represent their owners and company were behaving.

What a unique find! Good food, fun atmosphere, not for those in a rush. A little odd because the menu is on the blackboard and half of our table was seated with their backs up against it, so they couldnt see it....and people stood in front of our table and stared at it with was funny. All and all a fun little place with home cooked comfort food.

Super unique antique school house made into s family style comfort food home cooking restaurant. Fried chicken is their specialty but the all you can eat sides steal the show. Prefect green beans with bits of ham. Mashed potatoes like grandma made them. Perfectly moist corn bread, and soft roasted baby carrots.

We also ordered the corn fritters which were super filling and extra sweet tasting.

I went with the baked Haddock and it wasn't anything special but good northerly nonetheless. We took hole plenty of left overs and we'll certainly be back to try all the other main dishes!

Come here for the experience not the food it was really low quality and expensive $22 for bland over cooked grilled chicken, $20 for a double burger, then one hot dog and 3 sodas for $65. Tipped 20% because it wasn’t the servers fault. I would come back for the experience not for the food. Salad was bad, seemed like canned green beans and instant mashed potatoes. Servers were very nice and friendly the grounds were neat. This was probably some of the worst overpriced food I have eaten in long time. The general store is cool and the school house is too.

Cute place with a fun ambiance. We did a 4pm dinner on a weeknight and only 2 others tables were there. The menu is written on a chalkboard at the front of the room and all the sides are served on a lazy-susan for all to share at the table. I wasn’t prepared for how expensive it was going to be and I was on a ticket by myself. But the food was pretty good and the place has been on our bucket list to visit for years.
