Why is there such an overwhelming smoke flavor with the burgers? We couldnt even finish them. Also, i do not think they are hand pressed, they taste like frozen patties. Also, dark beef gravy with a chicken/mashed potato bowl? No way. Very diaappointed. Fries great but super small portion. For those who say best burger in town...uh? stop.

Arrived as a party of 4 at 6:30 (normal dinner time) for Saturday steak dinner special. They were out of steaks, baked potatoes, and rolls. Decided to stay anyway and try something else. A woman came over and tossed 4 napkins, 3 forks, and 2 knives on the table in a pile and walked away. Never said a word. This woman came back some time later and took the drink order. When she returned with the drinks I had to ask for food menus and she came back with 2…for 4 people. Luckily another server took over at this point who was far more friendly and attentive. Attempted to order the soup on the featured/special board… they were out of that as well. Food that I eventually got was decent. Not sure if I’d go back. I heard good things so it was disappointing. Overall not a good experience.

One of my favorite places to visit! The owners Dan and Mike are the nicest guys you'll ever come across, all the barmaids I've encountered are absolutely fabulous, fun friendly and attentive! The burgers are absolutely delicious! They are juicy and flavorful. And the fries are fantastic but even better dipped in their beer cheese. Can't beat the price or atmosphere. Love love love the Tavern ❤️❤️

Idk who they’ve hired there but the food is awful now I remember just not to long ago the burgers was the best burgers I had down here now they are always burnt I just left from there and this is the 3rd burger that was burnt and red still in the middle it’s a damn shame and the lady gave my receipt before the food got to me because she knew it was gonna be horrible but wanted that tip I’m disappointed in this place now hire a new cook because that makes no sense

Wow, what a great place Tavern 26 is. We had a wonderful time there. Very nice inside, very good food, great value and delightful service. We will definitely be coming back.
