We have been happily coming to the Grill at Kensington for 8 years. Today, we celebrated Mother’s Day and a birthday. It was a terrible experience. They were absolutely not ready for guests, they were understaffed, and the food was not at all up to par. My dinner was cold and had to be sent back. Our other order was incomplete. We, as well as other guests, waited well over an hour for our meal. Thank heavens for our server, Randi. She was excellent and did her very best to make up for the fiasco. Kensington, you’re better than this.

Went there today for Mother’s Day. We had a reservation. The woman who looked up the reservation left us standing for ten minutes, wondering what was going on. No communication, whatsoever. Then someone else came along and asked us to wait in the waiting area while they sorted are table. After that, it was one disaster after another. 30 minutes after being seated, 2 appetizers were ordered, and 7 entrees. I was told that the pork came with fries, but weren’t gluten free so did I want to swap them for a salad. I agreed. The first two entrees arrived (before the appetizers). My father in law had also ordered the pork, but it came with rice not fries. Both apps were cold, and sent back. I asked the waitress about it and she said she thought the staff said ‘fries’, not ‘rice’, so I told her I wanted the rice. The other apps came crack, heated up. Turns out one of them was the wrong order. I still got the salad, which I shouldn’t have because that was meant to be the replacement for the fries. 30 minutes after that, our appetizers came, while the people who had already received their apps just sat there. Apps were cold. Eventually, the other apod arrived. Cold. At this point, we refused to take them, and sent them back, while one of us went to talk to the manager, who said she was going to ‘fix things.’ We never saw her again, and we just sat there waiting. In the end we just got up and left. The waitress kept saying it was because the kitchen staff were backed up. No. Cold food is because the waitress wasn’t picking up the orders quick enough. What an absolute shambles! Two hours of waiting!

Golfed there this past weekend, 4/18/26, for the first time. Enjoyed the layout and the challenge. The staff were an excellent, welcoming crew as well! You do not get get the same experience from the staff at PGH area golf courses, most are miserable and grumpy! Keep it up Kennsington, I will definitely be back.

We stayed at the Courtyard and this was conveniently behind the hotel. We sat on the beautiful heated enclosed patio. The food was wonderful and the portions were huge! Reasonably priced and quick service. Definitely worth eating here! They also have a bar if you are interested in grabbing a drink. They have a nice selection and specialty drinks as well!
Walked here from the Courtyard by Marriott for a late dinner. Beautiful spot, great food, great service, and great beer.

I’ve recently become a regular there. Their food and service is amazing. Bloody Mary’s are Extremely good and during lent their menu is available every day for the whole time and if you like smelts, there’s are the best I’ve ever had in my life. I’m almost addicted to them perfectly breaded don’t let me tell you go try them for yourself. You’ll thank me later. Very, very nice place. Highly recommended.

Best place to eat in the Canfield / Boardman / Austintown area! Don’t miss your chance to enjoy fantastic food, wonderful and extremely professional employees, and a brilliant atmosphere! Plus, on some weekends there is tremendous entertainment. As stated the staff is very professional but they are also fun and joyful. Everyone looks like they are truly enjoying their work! Add in the top public golf course in the area and the lovely simulator lounge and Kennsington is the “must go to” resort in the Northeast Ohio area. Furthermore, no one at Kennsington takes locals and frequent visitors for granted. Every visit is truly a unique experience!
