We were excited to try Astoria, hoping for authentic Italian fare—but unfortunately, it missed the mark. Our total bill came to $135 for one appetizer, two entrees, one glass of wine, a $20 corkage fee, tax, and tip.
Made a Saturday reservation through Open Door. Despite selecting the regular dining room, we were nearly seated at a bar high-top and had to push for a proper table—even though the restaurant was mostly empty. The table we received was chipped, wobbly, and poorly lit. Paper napkins and worn furniture gave the place a cheap feel, totally out of sync with the pricing.
Service was rushed and uninformed. Our server forgot a wine order, mispronounced menu items (bruschetta), couldn’t explain ingredients, and wasn’t aware of pricing. A bizarre moment: when asked about the odd wine charge ($14.42), we were told we could save 42 cents by paying cash, as cash is king—followed by “Jesus is king.” Not the time or place for religious commentary.
Food was a mixed bag: • Bruschetta: Overloaded with raw onion and balsamic—too acidic. • Chicken Piccata: Just average. • Braised Short Rib: Dry and tough, not tender as expected.
The manager was aware we weren’t happy but offered no real resolution—just a passive “let me know if you need anything.”
Astoria has potential, but between poor service, underwhelming food, and a lack of polish, we won’t be back unless significant improvements are made.

We just spent $63.00 at Astoria in Canton for two terrible Pizzas at $18 each and an order of Chicken Parm at $27. This was ordered to go. The Pizzas lacked both sauce and cheese, and the Chicken Parm was burnt. See pictures. Food like this should never be let out the door. Someone is not managing this place. At $63 for this type of food is a crime.

We had a reservation for 4 at 5:00. The restaurant was fairly empty when we arrived, yet they seated us at a booth in the bar, (totally different atmosphere). I requested to move to the beautiful dining room, which they accommodated. The food and service was wonderful! The only uncomfortable thing was… before the dining room filled up, the waiters and waitresses line up against the wall by the kitchen, right behind our table. They just stood there watching and staring at us and the empty tables. It felt very weird. We would definitely return for another visit. The signature drink was delicious!

First time here and definitely will be back. 4/4 of my family members enjoyed this place. Friendly staff( shout out to Tara-server and also the manager who checked on us.). Service was great! Food was delicious- Good variety of menu choices . Atmosphere was relaxing! Recommend for any occasion. New family favorite for us.

Friends of ours took us out to dinner here for the first time. The atmosphere is very nice and welcoming. The serving staff is good. They do have plate runners. Beers and cocktails were higher priced than other places I have visited. Our dinners were good, but nothing that would stand out. Two plates were lukewarm. You will be a charge for anything you ask different to your drink. $2 to have your old fashion smoked. Just to give you a heads up you will be service charged 3% for every line item.

My boyfriend and I went there and our server James was amazing it was our first time there and explained the menu very well. The service was excellent the best I’ve seen in awhile. The food was amazing. The atmosphere is very welcoming. We will definitely be back !!

Absolutely the best steak I've ever had in my life!! I am almost 60 years old and have been in the food industry for most of my life... And when I say this Delmonico steak was absolutely the BEST I mean it! I had to go back and meet the chef, Britney, to thank her personally and give her a small gratuity. I don't know what she did to it but it was AMAZING ♥️
