Our food was amazing!! Unfortunately, the worst service we have had in years. While our server was definitely busy, she never acknowledged that it took 15 minutes for her to approach us and 20 minutes for drinks. A simple "Sorry, I know you have been waiting" would have gone a long way. Instead, she was rude and annoyed.

Second time dining here and it was a wonderful experience just like the first time. The menu has a huge selection and a variety of different dishes. The service was excellent and our waitress was very informative and sweet. We will definitely be back here! Also, the dragonfruit mojitos are the best!

We had never been to this Canton Asian Bistro before, having been to the one in Wooster several times. It was a very pleasant experience! The occasion was my wife's Birthday. It was just like we had hoped, Great food, service, and perfect ambience. We were not disappointed!! She was happy!!!!! Steve

This place always delivers good service and food at a reasonable price (compared to others).

We started off with the Thai dumplings and they were delicious moved on to Thai spring rolls which were also tasty. My husband had the duck and he loved it. I had the pad Thai and it was really spot on. Must go if you haven't been there.

The choices are varied from different Asian culture, Japanese, Thia and Chinese. Unfortunately all the food was not well done. The tempura eggplant was not super crisp and had too thick of a batter that came with an odd sauce. The seafood soup for 2 had no flavor of lemongrass but was super sour. The avocado beef curry dish was not combined well. A curry dish that couple of avocado was dropped in. We came out disappointed. Our soup was not hot and had to send it back. I wish they would pick one culture and do the best version of their dishes rather then mediocre dishes. The wait staff was good and atmosphere nice.

I walked in to get a carry out order. A door dash mind you. It wasn't ready. When it finally was ready the young hostess brought it out abd stapled it without her making sure it was right. I asked for extra sauce she asked if I ordered extra. I informed her I didn't order it. She went to grab sausage sauce I notice I'm missing my spicy crab rolls. She said "we don't have spicy crab rolls. " huh? They were sitting at the bar kind you. Whatever I take my order She says "did you pay for that" I said what it's a carry out.she runs over to the computer to check to see. The other girl comes over and says "it's a doordash she's good". No apologies from the girl or nothing.get a hostess that knows what they're talking about and has better customer service.

Had a reservation and they lost it. Told us they would get us a table and never did. Had to leave without even getting to eat.

Called tonight about gluten free could not get a straight answer from anyone. I asked them to ask the cook all I got was "They can make anything gluten free". I asked is the chicken breaded, what sauce is gf, what kind of rice can I get, and is it shared fryers... she couldn't answer any of my questions?! How can you order food with an allergy if they don't know the menu and nothing is marked on the online menu. They should have protocols for allergies and be properly trained.

We had a lovely experience at Basil Asian Bistro! The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, making it a great spot for a casual meal. For our starter, we shared the crab rangoon. While it wasn’t anything out of the ordinary, it hit the spot for what we were looking for.

My husband ordered the Pad Kee Mao with shrimp at the highest spice level. The flavor was good, but it didn’t quite live up to the spice level we were expecting. He also tried the spicy tuna roll and tekka maki roll. They were smaller than anticipated, but the taste was spot on.

I went for the Walnut Glaze Shrimp and absolutely loved it! The sweet and tangy flavor was the perfect balance, and I’d definitely recommend it.

The service was fantastic. Michelle took excellent care of us, always staying on top of our drink refills and checking in without being intrusive. She even helped us pack our leftovers, which was a nice touch.

Overall, we had a great time and would definitely come back!

Parking: There is parking surrounding the building. Lots on the side and behind. There is also street parking. Just make sure you check before not paying! The times to pay are different depending if you park to the side or infront.

Ok listen, I can’t even review the food or I would probably say something else cause it looks. Fire… but me and my pregnant girlfriend came to eat last week, but they were so busy we had to make reservations for the next Saturday. 8:00 we rolled up with reservations and laughed cause we didn’t even really need them, none the less we sat down in a room with not to many people but 7 tables (we are both servers btw) and we ended up sitting there for 35 minutes. Only had a couple waters dropped to us but I really was upset and we left. No one talked to us, I serve and so does my girl. We both were shocked with the situation cause that would never happen someone would say something but 35 mins in the middle of the room with water menus and blank faces…

Tons of options on the menu, incredible food - one of my favorite spots in Canton. My go-to meal is the seafood fried rice, so good every single time and a generous portion.

Only downside is that each of the four times I’ve been here, the service has been incredibly slow. Each time I’ve been sat in the bar area instead of the dining room, so it could be due to that, but results in a very long wait time to even order and a long time to receive the food.

Highly recommend trying it, just not when you’re in a hurry.

Basil has been one of my favorite places for years. The service used to be fine. Within the last year or so- I have literally had to go ask the hostess if we have a server..every time we go there. They just seat you and ignore you. So many workers walk past you and pretend they don’t see you. I don’t understand it. I’ve seen other reviews saying the same thing. Then they don’t check on you at all and when they do it’s so quick you can barely get a word in to let them know they forgot something. It’s a shame because the food is great but the service is really lacking. And they really don’t seem to care. We also waited 20 minutes after our reservation time.

I'm not sure what happened with Basil in the kitchen. Their food used to be amazing but the last two times I've been quite disappointed. The staff used to know more about dietary restrictions but I also had issues with my last several visits.
