This is a great place. Its a unique night club because it has great live music that you do not find often in other cities. Do not listen to all the negative things that some cruel people say. This is a nice clean and honest club. I loved it.

Has been here for ever. We own a house just a few blocks away. Always smells good Friday and Saturday nights outside. Food is priced okay, service is just below average unless you are drinking adult beverages then it gets better. Food is brought out pretty fast unless your order something that is steak or freshly made. There is always a car or truck for sale outside of your looking for a ride. Parking is okay but they share a lot with a Dollar Store with high foot traffic and there is a car wash on the other side. The neighborhood is kind of run down, poor lighting in parking area plus people wandering around and the same three or four cars endlessly circling through the area can make customers nervous.

This place is right by my house, and has great food but everytime I come here it is always dead. Like, I am the only one here. Doesn't matter if it is a Friday night or Wednesday happy hour -- always dead. Food is good, staff is great I just don't get it.

Went to El Galeron the other night for dinner with friends. I used to love this place but moved away and just got back. I don't 'know what happened in the last two years but the results are tragic. I'll start with the chips and salsa. The chips are pre-packgaged and stale. Not the fresh chips I remember. They are just heavy in your stomach. The salsa was still decent. I ordered the enchilada place, two beef enchiladas rice and beans. The rice and beans on point. Beans are still slow-simmered and yummy. The rice is light, fluffy and flavorful. However my enchiladas were another story. The meat was bland. There were no onions or spices in the ground beef. It was just boiled meat wrapped in a tortilla. The sauce it was downright awful. It was gelatinous and sweet. Enchilada sauce is not supposed to be sweet but spicy blend of saucy deliciousness. It was not. I thought maybe it was just me, so I made other people at the table try it. You know "here this tastes awful try it" routine. They all agreed, no bueno. I couldn't even eat it. Everyone kept telling me to tell the waitress but I felt bad. I mean its not their fault I don't like it. So I ate all my beans, rice and a ton of the mediocre chips and salsa. When the waitress noticed I did not eat my enchiladas she asked why. I told her I didn't like the sauce, so she offered me anything else that I wanted no charge. I got the enchiladas suizas (chicken enchiladas with green chili sauce) to go. Ate them the next day for lunch and they were delicious, flavorful and good. Service still amazing! Drinks were always full. Waitress was fun and nice. We used to go in there so often she remembered us. I was going to give them two stars but because of the service and free meal I gave them 3. Not sure if the rest of the food but they want to make sure you're happy.

El Galeron has all the offerings of the Mexican eateries that have sprung up across the region. However, el Diablo es en los detalles. At first glance, El Galeron may appear like all of its counterparts, yet the restaurant separates itself from the pack with some subtle yet sublime characteristics. The salsa is chunkier and has a more robust, nuanced flavor that hints at the rich and eclectic cultural origins of its creators, as evidenced in the many South and Latin American flags that drape from the ceiling. A dark, blushing sauce that accompanies the "Special Burrito" swims on the palate, stirring the taste buds with a colorful orgy of flavors. A plump blossom of sour cream can be folded into the rice like a mother gently swaddling her babe as los charros ride in, their rugged figures undulating over the scorched horizon of the setting sun. The resulting tapestry of tastes and pungent emotions beckon to the mystique and adventure of a once distant culture now ensconced in America's diverse cultural fabric.
