I am a long time Taggarts customer. It is a small restaurant, but they make amazing use of the space and I have always felt comfortable there. Known for its great ice cream and old soda shop classics. Try a phosphate or a mini bitner when you are there! It doesn't just have great ice cream, it's food menu is high quality. Expected better but that’s what happens when you expect!! Tried an early dinner, 1/2 lb hamburger was disappointing, my Fiancé grill cheese was good. Now the Ice Cream, I am an Ice Cream Connoisseur so with that being said, not impressed. I had the Buckeye Sundae, too many buckeyes and fudge, took away from the whole sundae, my fiancé had a butterscotch sundae and was not thrilled. OK but not top tier.
An amazing place, my fiance and his family brought me here for the first time it had the feel of when you where little and your parents brought you to a candy store and said go nuts or crazy. The food is amazing, but the ice cream is to die for. 100/10 would recommend to a friend.
