Excellent experience from begging end. Our table was right by the window overlooking the Falls. Our waitress was exceptional. My mother and I both had the chicken pot pie which was excellent!

The chicken pot pie was essentially soup, without chicken, with a pancake shaped biscuit floating on top. The short rib was good but you never know what veggies you're going to get. I've had this dish 3 different times, the veggies were different each time, all were disappointing.

Other than having an issue with where my party was originally seated (in a corner with no ambiance/view overlooking part of the roof, the food was excellent and our server was great! This is a beautifully designed restaurant with great energy. I recommend dining early to view the falls; I'm not certain why the Village doesn't have the falls professionally lit during the evening hours. Highly recommend the French onion soup, short ribs and/or Lemon crusted chicken and, of course, the bread.
Been visiting for some time now. Service is always great! Only one small complaint was one of the hostesses had a black shirt that kept rising up over her stomach which I didn't want to see. Other than that great!

This was my first time to eat at 17 River and the whole attraction was the proximity and view of the water fall. Unfortunately, we were seated far from the windows and my back was to the windows, so no view. It was 1:00 on a weekday and there were better tables available, some with a view, but maybe you have to be a regular to get one of those? I don't know. The food and service were acceptable.
