They are not open. Their open table and their Google say they are open. They are not and this needs to be updated.
I was really looking forward to dinning at Lopez on Friday night, but my expectations quickly turned into one disappoint after another. First the restaurant had nice décor but was quite cold inside. The dinner selection was not at all what was online and we were debating if we should go else where but we didn't and we should have! I have never been to a nice restaurant that severed dinner on a paper plate and plastic utensils. The meal was below standard quality and they charged $4 for each side salsa and guacamole we ordered which were quite small sample sizes. That was the 1st and last time there. What a disappointment. I had high hopes for Lopez
Still quite good. Not nearly as "relaxed" as the old Lopez.
Walked in at 5:15p with my wife and 3 kids. Place was nearly empty, maybe 3 cars in the parking lot. There were ~ 2 people at the bar and two other tables filled (like a 2 top and a 4 top). So maybe like 10% filled. When we admitted we did not have a reservation, the hostess asked if wanted to join the waitlist - she said we would be expected to be seated 3hrs later. We walked. We then sat in our car for 5-10 minutes trying to figure out an alternative. We were expecting a bus to show up or something. Not a single other car arrived. Really strange.
We had a reservation for 2 people at the bar. The bar was busy. Fortunately there was options for us. There were reservation signs behind the bar but they weren't in place for us. What is the point of making a reservation at the bar if spaces are not designated?
The Scallop appetizer was delicious and cooked perfectly! We had a swordfish entree and the skirt steak entree my husband and I both completely enjoyed our meals, the margarita's the food and the service, everything met all of our expectations.
My husband and I dined at Lopez for the first time and were very impressed with the quality of the delicious food and drinks and the ambience of the restaurant. The servers were very courteous, helpful, and responsive, even though they were covering a number of tables in the dining room and patio. We definitely would return to Lopez and highly recommend it!
They are short staffed and it seems like this has been going on for over 2 months. We experienced the same thing last time. It took 20 minutes to get our drinks and over an hour to get our food. The waiter was a waiter and a hostess at the same time. The service was terrible but the food was okay
This was our first time dining at Lopez. The price point is on the high side for a relatively casual Mexican restaurant compared to other restaurants in the area, but unfortunately neither the food nor service matched the price. We had the salsa flight - one salsa was good, the tomatillo was too acidic, and the pineapple salsa was tasty but the pineapple pieces were too large to scoop from the container. The flight was served without plates, making it hard to handle the tasting (we eventually asked another server for plates since ours was not attentive). The shrimp tacos were good, but the portion size was paltry. My wife's enchiladas were not flavorful. We love good Mexican food, so we will try again after a time and hope Lopez can improve.
Most of the food was very good, although somewhat pricey. Oxtail enchiladas, carne asada, whole snapper, flights of salsas all very good as is their standard salsa. Guacamole was creamy by bland, and so was the Chimichurri Swordfish - bland and needed some acid. High noise level. Would go back if I wanted better Mexican food, but. Either person who got the swordfish would get it again.

We had a wonderful dining experience at Lopez with our family Tuesday evening. The food was delicious & the atmosphere was fantastic. We had outstanding service by friendly and polite staff. We will be back!!

The food was delicious as was the margaritas. Prices are high for Mexican food, but I appreciate and will pay for quality ingredients. Place is small and loud! And very cramped. But for the love of god- DO NOT DELIVER FOOD TO A TABLE WHEN THEY HAVE NO SILVERWARE. If you want to be considered “fine dining” your service has to match. And it did not.
Wow resurrection of an old Cleveland Heights favorite we use to frequent over thirty years ago. New location new name. If you liked Lopez y Gonzalez you are going to love Lopez. Great menu young vibe love what they have done with the dining room decor. Complimentary valet parking great bar and drinks menu. Loved the Queso Fundido, Carne Asada, and Swordfish. The salsa trio sampler is highly recommended as the entrees I mentioned. We will return. Happy to have Lopez back and closer to us in Chagrin Falls. .
Not authentic. Triple the prices of an authentic mexican restaurant. Hostess was rude. Service was terrible. Anyone who likes the place is clueless
