My husband and I went on a monday night during trivia so it was a bit loud. No big deal, we are on vacation. People were having fun. Look at the menu and place our order. Veggie quesadilla and hot wings. Food was, in my opinion, absolutely spot on. I had the quesadilla so that's what I can speak on. It was beyond amazing. I could have ordered another. My husband and I decide to order drinks. Nothing fantastic. Margarita and beam and coke. They were good, nothing to write home about. Here is where the surprise comes in. We got the bill and it was $100!!!! Our food was reasonably priced. The drinks were, in my opinion, outrageously priced. $58 for us each to have 2 drinks. I live in New York and pay NOTHING close to that. It was our fault for not asking I guess but we were ASSUMING that it would be reasonable. We could havexbought a bottle of Beam and a bottle of Tequila for less than our drinks. I would not hesitate to go back to eat but I would definitely be ordering water to drink and passing on any adult beverages.
My husband and I recently ate dinner here with a friend who heard great things about this restaurant. We were very happy with our meal. Food was delicious. We ordered the biscuits for an appetizer and they were incredible. I joked with the server that next time I will jus order biscuits as my main entree. I ordered ribs and they were very good. My husband had the salmon and he loved it. But the best part was the raspberry martini. Over all it is a very nice place, comfortable atmosphere. And sit on the patio.if the weather is nice. Can't wait to return.
Our food was, terrific, and the vibe is good in this cozy spot... but the service was absolutely terrible, which diminished the experience. Our server continually apologized, but did nothing to improve her service. Nearby tables were being served by someone else, and were getting the attention they deserved, while we were continually ignored. Having waited nearly 30 minutes after finishing our meal with NO ONE coming by our table, my husband went to the bar to inquire about dessert and coffee. This got our server's attention, at which point she came over to me with major attitude. I'd like to give the restaurant a better rating, but I just can't.
I have been here at least a dozen times since it opened. Love Monday Trivia Night. The food has been going downhill over the past year, but we have been coming to this location for 30 years so we still gather here. Maybe not much longer. We recently made a reservation for 10 ppl for drinks/dinner and brought a birthday cake. The restaurant was almost empty from 6:30 until we left at 9:30. In spite of this they unveiled their “new policy” of charging us $2 each to serve our own cake to us. This is not a wedding venue. It appears they are struggling; over-charging their loyal customers is not a good idea. Next time we might bring our $400 table with advance reservation (and cake) to Jekyll’s or M Italian.
I have enjoyed lunch here twice and find the food offerings very good. This is not a fast food place it is a really good restaurant. Pace is leisurely but servings come out almost perfectly. They offer a good variety in many options. I can say they serve the best clam chowder in the midwest, possibly anywhere.... It is that good!
I have had the pleasure of eating at this establishment at least 5 times, each time hoping that the kitchen would speed it up a bit. The food is consistently excellent, the servers are friendly, but run out of excuses about the kitchen. The average wait has been 35-45 minutes to get our food. I am usually patient because the food is great, but after a while, it gets old. For this reason, I only give it an average review. If the kitchen would ever speed up, watch out!!
This gem we found just while passing by. It has a patio with a wall of flowers. The service went above and beyond to take care of us and some special requests regarding diets. The food was delicious! Price was reasonable as well! Large in door dining area as well if weather is not cooperative.
We loved the atmosphere and the interior was nice. The food was very good but not great and based on other reviews, we were expecting great. Will try it again, it is worth a try.
Have had several meals here & always try something new. Great place to grab a bite and a cocktail. The French onion soup is my favorite!
Had a late afternoon lunch on the outdoor patio. Good service and great food. Both of our meals were delicious. I had the chicken macaroni and cheese and my husband had the meatloaf and mashed potatoes.
