I thought the food here was overall pretty tasty. I would say the appetizers were my favourite part. I loved the oysters we got, the crab cake and the Brussels sprouts. The mains were not bad but I think the appetizers set a high standard. I got the gnocchi, and the one positive thing I will say and highlight about this dish is you can really tell it is made from potatoes. The sauce was alright! My partner got the hot honey chicken sandwich and this was tasty but nothing special. The overall vibes of this place was very romantic and perfect for a date night!
Omg. Outstanding. The food was incredible. The atmosphere is amazing. Such a fun night and we will definitely be back soon.
We had a private dinner for our board, and they staff, and service was amazing! Everyone was very accommodating, not to mention the beautiful ambiance of the restaurant. This is our new favorite place!
My wife and I visited this past Friday and had a wonderful dinner. First, the building itself was done up beautifully inside. A very modern vibe but still love the wood ceiling and timbers. The tables were spaced well enough apart that you weren't involved in your neighbor's conversation. Lighting is very well done - great ambiance while still having enough light to read the menu. Our server, MJ, was fantastic. Very personable and engaging without being obtrusive. She was there when needed but did not interrupt. The wine was very good - California grapes, not Ohio and reasonably priced. Dinner was very good - salmon and short ribs were both cooked perfectly and the vegetables with both were amazing. Protein portions were on the small side - fine for us but be aware. All in all we will definitely be back - especially when it gets nicer and we can see the grounds outside.
MJ was our waitress and she was wonderful! The food was amazing and it’s such a good atmosphere there
MJ was awesome! The food was amazing. Hubby got the smashed burger & I got the filet mignon. Both were cooked perfectly & the Mac and cheese is one of the best I’ve ever had!
We visited there for the first time during the Chagrin Falls Restaurant week. We had a reservation at 6:30pm on Saturday and their parking lot was totally full and there was not a single car space available, so we had to use a valet. Operation didn't seem moving smoothly and we had to wait for a table till someone cleared the table for us; however, two other groups of people came in later and got tables right away.
Unfortunately, our server was new and it took a long time for her to take our orders and deliver food. Yes, they were quite busy but a table next to us was served by a different person and they got drinks and food promptly. We were there at 6:30pm, and at 8:30pm we were still waiting for dessert.
Overall, the food was great! Tuna Stuck and Tempura Cauliflower as appetizers, and Chicken Madeira and Cabernet Braised Short Rib as second, and dessert. My partner mentioned that Short Rib was very tender and nice but wished there was more sauce for that. Unfortunately, we waited too long for the desert so we asked the server to box them. By the time we received the totally incorrect check, a person of authority came by to our table to check how everything was. So we explained to her and luckily, she made it right at the end.
We may go back there again but next time, we will try to avoid peak time.
Wonderful date night at Sapphire Creek! Venue is gorgeous and service was amazing. The viognier was excellent. Our waitress, Bella, was super sweet and attentive. Can’t wait to come back in warmer weather and enjoy the beautiful scenery!

Danielle & her team were excellent hosts for our company dinner. The private room was perfect. It allowed some of our new sales team to get to know the plant crew. Thank you for your hospitality!

Our experience was absolutely degrading. We walked in and the hostess asked if we had reservations and we said no. There were maybe 3 tables out of the entire place that had anyone setting at them. (See the pictures). The hostess looked at her seating chart and said "I might have one table available!" The place was empty! She sat us all the way in the back in a corner by ourselves. Our waitress was nice but very slow. We were there for an hour maybe a little more and only had a 5 glass flight. The entire time we were there only 2 other tables were seated. We didn't show up in a fancy car, even though my Ram 1500 Limited is nothing to sneeze at and we weren't dressed to the Nine's (I had on a dressy flannel shirt, jeans and boots my boyfriend had on a nice sweatshirt, jeans and boots) I felt like we were not very welcome. When we did leave we walked by the hostess stand and she was standing there with I am assuming a manger neither one of them acknowledged either one of us as we walked out the door. I felt that the staff there were very snobbish and rude. If I could give zero stars that's what this place would get. So if you decide to visit there make sure you show up in a $100k+ vehicle and be dressed to the Nine's!!!
Had a very lovely dinner, from the wine, drinks and appetizers to the entrees, dessert and service. Was a great experience and our sever MJ was excellent.
Food 5/5
Apps-sourdough bread-great crust that lived up to it's name. Spicy Tempura Cauliflower was the best thing that I ordered.
Entrees-My wife loved her butternut squash ravioli. I had the beet salad sans goat cheese and brussel sprouts and butternut hash. Everything was delicious.
Milieu 5/5
Great high ceilings with open space when first walk in. You will quickly notice a central fireplace with gorgeous artwork. Past the fireplace is the enclosed patio where we sat. We could see the creek/woods.
Service 3/5
Service was ok. It was my wife's 50th birthday. I made the reservation through OpenTable and they have the option to put the reason for the occasion which I did. I was disappointed that there was no mention of the celebration. I noticed two tables over that the waiter had brought the entire large table a round of sparkling wine and I knew they had not ordered it given how surprised they were. I just think it is good business to try to make the customer feel special.
All in all, the food was great and we loved the venue, so we will probably go back eventually.
Sadly last time. 2/3 of us good meals. Service remains a constant issue. Girl brings drink asks why don’t u order it smoked? My husband says no one has offered. Ok maybe he was supposed to read the menu?
My meal was too salty to eat. Also a chicken breast is only 3/4 inch thick at fast food. It’s called a breast not a patty. Less salt more meat.
A Memorable First Visit to Sapphire Creek Winery
I had the pleasure of visiting Sapphire Creek Winery in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, for the first time this past Saturday, and it was truly an unforgettable experience.
The atmosphere was stunning—the view alone sets the perfect backdrop for an elegant yet relaxed evening. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcome. Jennifer, my waitress, was incredible! She was kind, honest, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu, which made choosing my meal an enjoyable process.
I started with the French onion soup, which was absolutely amazing—rich, flavorful, and comforting. For my entree, I had the salmon paired with mashed potatoes, and I was blown away by how perfectly it was prepared. Every bite was delicious!
For dessert, I tried the tiramisu. It was rich, creamy, and the perfect way to end the meal. I also had a mocktail, which was refreshing and beautifully crafted.
Everything about my visit was top-notch—from the food and drinks to the impeccable service and breathtaking view. I’m already looking forward to coming back and exploring more of the menu.
If you’re looking for a spot with delicious food, excellent service, and a serene ambiance, Sapphire Creek Winery is it. Highly recommend!
Thank you to Jennifer and the entire team for making my first visit so special.
