Hayashi Mayple is such a hidden gem for sushi lovers. Their specialty roll menu is HUGE, with so many creative and unique options that it was honestly hard to choose. Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made.

We ordered the American Dream, Angel, and Long Island rolls — each one was packed with flavor and had its own unique twist. You can really tell they put thought into their rolls instead of serving the same standard combinations you find everywhere else.

The service was also excellent. Our waitress was so friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Between the amazing sushi and great atmosphere, this is definitely a spot we’ll keep coming back to.

Me and my girlfriend get food here often. Usually it’s hit or miss. Sometimes it’s really really good and sometimes it’s not as good. But that’s not what prompted my review we expect that. I usually get a Philly roll and special roll(today was the rainbow roll)Those were okay avocado a little brown and fish not very fresh. Still that would’ve been okay. But I went crazy today and got salmon roe. My FAVORITE sashimi dish ever. And I kid you not. SPOILED. Sour taste, slimy, and mushy. My girlfriend got a Naruto roll and it had water all in the bottom and the roll got slimy as well. Not a good experience at all. This was a takeout order and they flopped hard on this one. Will never come back here, we’ll stick with Ninja Sushi thank you very much.

Great place. Was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was for a sushi shop north east ohio it was comparable to the places baxk in vegas but with better service. I loved the unique chardon roll and other ohio base roll vs the common vegas roll everyone has. Cant wait to try them again

Unfortunately not a good visit. Me and and son sat down /ordered at 6:20 ish. 10 mins later his appetizer arrived, no problem. 30 mins later his dumplings arrived. 7:20 ish none of my 3 items were brought out. I told the waitress to change the bill. Paid for the partial meal and tip and left.

I used to go to Hayashi Maple fairly often as it was close to my house and I really enjoy Japanese food but their prices are so expensive after discovering things like Kintaro where you can get sushi and a hot pot for just $18 unlimited at lunchtime which there it is also made fresh and they have high-quality specialty roles that are all included they’re $20 for a bento box on Sundays ridiculous price. I’ve also had bad experiences with the waitress telling me that I could substitute white rice for fried rice and then charging me extra afterwards and not mentioning that upfront it seems like they’re constantly trying to charge extra for things because probably not many people go there because the prices are so high it’s a convenient location if it didn’t cost so much I would Go. At the high prices mixed with the rude service I’ve gotten from the waitresses recently makes it not feel worthwhile. Also I got the pork tonkatsu and it was not very good it had two pieces of fried pork with a small bowl of fried rice which apparently is 2 1/2 dollars extra it didn’t come with a curry sauce like it served with in Japan it was some weird vinegar flavor that I didn’t think was very pleasant. I do think they are bento is tasty and $15 when you can get it at lunchtime isn’t a bad price but It’s hard to get it for that price and the waitress makes me not want to go back. To be clear though I have had some positive experiences in the past with the waitresses so potentially it might still be just how it ended up being.

Waitress tonight 12/7/25 around 330 pm should be fired. We went for my 2 year old birthday dinner ( he loves the food ) everything was fine until she saw the $10 tip, Im not sure what more she was expecting but before we could get out of the restaurant she made the environment very hostile yelling around my children while they tried to get coats on and then when I spoke to the manager she stood next to me mocking my complaint, laughing , looking for kitchen staff to join in with her ignorance. While kitchen staff looked on uncomfortably. My guess is a $10 tip wouldn't be enough to get her fix today. We loved this restaurant but as long as this is the type of waitresses that work here we will not be back.

We usually enjoy dining here, but we have not visited in a while. Tonight we ordered 3 items for pickup, we even added gratuity for the gentleman who took our order - we simply requested extra sauce. Not only were we charged for extra sauce, but we did not receive ANY sauce - we didn’t even receive the sauce that should have come with our dinners. My son had to drive back up to the restaurant to pick up the sauce, and the gentleman did not offer any concession. How hard is it to simply check 3 item order before you give it to the customer? Another disappointing aspect is the salad - see photo, nothing has been eaten - this is EXACTLY how it was received. So it was a $60 bill plus 15% tip - definitely not worth the trouble or expense for a pickup order that required a second trip. Sad to see the quality of customer service and food has deteriorated. Hopefully Hayashi can turn things around before it meets the same fate of the other former restaurants in that plaza.
