First time at square bistro and my expectations were exceeded. The quality of the food is top notch. Had the veal piccata and it was probably the best veal I’ve ever had. Portions are also good and the price as well. Can’t wait to go back .

Nice, medium sized restaurant on Chardon Square. Very good appetizers and main courses. Known for their excellent sushi but we did not order on this visit. Portions are adequate.... we took home leftovers. Service was very good... attentive when needed, then left you alone to enjoy the meal. Definitely will be a regular stop!

Service 5 star. Food more of a 3.5. Seafood is delicate, and learning to not overcook it is a skill, they will hopefully work on this. The bolognese is actually a ragu, there is a difference. I would expect more than packaged pepper with the prices. Also, we would expect some fresh ground cheese offered with a pasta dish. I'd be hard pressed not to mention it is very dirty overall. The bar was clean, the walls, the hangings, air ducts, not so much. The sushi is well presented, 5 star presentation 4 star taste and cut. I have a hard time calling it a bistro. The great service is what could bring us back.

The setting and the dishes on offer from Square are always a hit. It’s such a Chardon gem! The service is amazing, and you can find items to appease the foodie and the burgers and fries person in your friend group. Their specials change regularly, so get on their email list to be alerted before sushi nights and date night menus!

One of the best restaurants in the Cleveland area. Amazing chef, food options that everyone loves, great drinks and beautiful atmosphere.
My wife, daughter and I ate at Square Bistro this past Saturday. Everything, from the food, drinks and service was spot on. One of the specials for Saturday was a Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteak sandwich. Hopefully, management makes this a regular on their menu. Without a doubt, this was the most phenomenal sandwich I have ever had. The flavors all came together in such a way that warrants giving it a permanent spot to n the menu. Great job Square Bistro. Check them out. Everything about them is fantastic.

cannot say enough about how lovely and accommodating the staff was here for the surprise party i threw for my husband. they were amazing with communication leading up the event with calling me back or calling to confirm details about the party. they allowed me to come early if i wanted to drop stuff off, let me bring balloons etc, they even slightly extended the number of people i was originally allowed to have, etc. they even let me store an ice cream cake for the party. the surprise could not have gone better. everyone was in the loft and when we walked in we couldn’t see who was up there which was perfect. the hostess didn’t spoil it which i was worried might happen, she walked us up to the loft perfectly & he had no idea until we got all the way up there! she was so sweet as well and gave me a very sweet compliment. the food was great, the service was great, Jake was an amazing server. they were great at clearing the table often and not leaving it messy, and Jake brought out the cake at the perfect time without having to be asked. he even boxed it up for us to go when we were on our way out, we would have completely forgotten about it. he even took group photos for us. they were also not at all difficult about doing separate checks as a lot of restaurants tend to be. everyone raved about how they didn’t know about this restaurant but are so glad i chose it & how much they loved it. i’m so glad i chose them! thank you so much square bistro!!! <3

Went out with friends, party of six. Had not been there in a while, tonight they did a nice job. Improved draft beer selection, wasn’t all IPAs. Bread and compound everything bagel butter was really good. Mushroom soap was tasty, could use a garnish, maybe same sautéed mushrooms for texture. Salem was cooked well, nice dish. Sushi was done well.
It was a very pleasant experience. Good food.
