We always like going to the Oaks. This is the first time we have gone for a special buffet. Everything was presented beautifully. The food was very good and there was a nice variety of dishes to choose from.

Our server, Lita (sp), let us visit and linger over a sunset meal with friends. This restaurant's ambiance and food get better as the years roll on..which is a true accomplishment, making it a local treasure.

First we were seated right next to another table of 4 right by the door. really? not even enough room to breathe let alone have a conversation with friends without anyone else overhearing. the restaurant was completely empty. we asked to sit by the window, and it looked as if we put the hostess out by her having to move some tables...then the food brunch choices were terrible especially for the price, you get very very little food. the frittata was so small and bland. -no toast or muffin -no vegetable -no garnish to nibble.. boring.... Alacarte should not be an option for brunch when you serve such small portions! I've had better more fulfilling meals at a diner.

This was a very weird experience. I took my wife out for a nice valentines dinner which, with a one year old, we rarely get to do. The atmosphere was great but, the service and food quality were atrocious. We ordered the valentines dinner for two and substituted the lobster for another filet as we are both allergic to shellfish. My wife was brought two filets, I was brought a filet and a lobster. It took over 45 minutes to get the meal back correctly. During this time, my wife’s food obviously got cold and nobody bothered to address that issue. On top of this, she ordered her steak well done, even after 45 minutes of resting, the steak was medium rare at best. The food was rushed and bland. To top off an already spectacular night, the waitress spent about 10 minutes at our table crying and telling us her problems with the establishment…all while we don’t have our food. I get valentines is an extremely busy night and mistakes happen but this was just plain uncomfortable. We didn’t see a floor manager one time nor did anybody do anything to help an already over stressed waitress. This was just a terrible first experience at a well known upscale restaurant. I doubt we would ever return.

My husband and I enjoyed a Valentine's "special event" dinner at the Oaks. This was our first time at this restaurant. We will definitely be back. The food was so good, drinks well made, service spot-on. Due to the fact it was Valentine's Day and they had a special event dinner - it was a little more crowded and noisy for my taste, but we will be back in the warmer weather to enjoy the views of Chippewa Lake. Highly recommend The Oaks to anyone!

Went for Valentine's Day dinner. Food wasn't up to par with what we have had before. They had a special Valentine's Day menu, the food felt mass produced and inconsistent. Two Filets, one was nice and thick the other was about half the size, flavor was good though. Potatoes were under cooked and lobster was cold and tough and drawn butter wasn't completely melted. Our Thanksgiving day meal was good here, so we will probably give them one more shot.

Everything was great. Our server was Lita and she was very attentive and friendly. It was Valentine's Day and busy but our food came out in a timely manner and the view of the lake was beautiful!

When making online reservations, I had a choice of regular menu or the "special", we chose regular menu. Unfortunately, upon arrival we were told the special was the only choice. The food had great taste and service was good, however, the food was barely room temp when we received it at the table. I understand that it was a busy holiday, but it seemed as if the food was made in masse and sent out as needed. For the price paid, we were a little disappointed.

The Oaks met and exceeded all of our expectations for the bridal shower we had there on 2/4/2024. Alisa was an absolute joy to work alongside and had the space setup and ready to go for day-of decorating. She is an excellent coordinator, and wonderful in communications. The space itself was gorgeous to begin with, so we knew that wouldn't be a problem. The fabric draping from the second floor, the linens, flatware, floors, everything was so spotless, just so impressive all around. We had a delicious brunch of eggs benedict, avocado toast, and french toast, with hash browns and fruit, and everything was just perfect and delicious. Seriously, every egg of the eggs Benny was poached perfectly, way to go Chef! We had two amazing servers for the day of, Anna and Anne, and they were fabulous too, already anticipating our needs before we needed to ask. I would absolutely have another event here, and would love to enjoy and sit lakeside for a meal. Will definitely be back again and again, thank you so much for a beautiful and memorable bridal shower for my sister-in-law! 10/10 you guys nailed it!

Every time we go we have great food and service. Great fish selection as well as steaks, lamb and pastas. Beautiful lake setting. Everyone is friendly and makes it a great experience. The staff is tentative without being annoying. Another nice thing is you can bring your own wine with a small corking fee if you should choose to do that. Highly recommend

Ordered the cod and it was horrible. A fish filet from McDonald's would have been 1000 times tastier. My whole meal was cold and the entire edges of the cod were dry, hard and crusty and tasted like it had been sitting out for a week then reheated and served. The potatoes served with it looked like they came from a frozen food bag from GSF and heated up. This is not fine dining - this is crap.

We went for a 30th birthday celebration. We heard it was “one of the best” in the area but unfortunately were let down a little. The food was good but not great. And unfortunately our service was lacking. Took 20 minutes for drinks or for them to check in on us etc. Not sure if we will be back for the price/food
