I offer this review not in bitterness, but in truth. It is spoken from lived experience, with clarity, integrity, and a commitment to honoring the full picture. My partner and I were personally invited by the store manager to join the night crew at this location. At the time, we were living out of our van, which had no air conditioning. On hot days, we could not rest properly. We had no way to cook food, so we lived on fast food, which drained our energy and weakened our health. We arrived in survival mode, but we showed up with honesty and willingness. What we were not told, until after we had already started, was that our first two paychecks would be mailed. We had just lost access to our P.O. Box, which meant we could not retrieve them. It was not until three weeks after we began working that our direct deposit was finally set up. Even then, it took over a month before we received our back pay. In response to this, the store manager did offer some short-term assistance. He did our laundry once, bought us each an outfit, and fed us one meal. These gestures were appreciated. However, they were not acts of pure generosity. They were a response to the hardship caused by the store's failure to communicate clearly and support us properly. That support faded quickly, while the pressure and dysfunction within the workplace only deepened. We had confirmed our pay rate multiple times before accepting the offer. Once hired, we discovered the pay was not what we were promised. That betrayal of trust set the tone for everything that followed. My partner, a brilliant, dedicated, and compassionate soul, was emotionally harassed by a coworker. The situation escalated until she developed heart palpitations and anxiety so severe she required medication. The person responsible was eventually investigated, but allowed to resign quietly. No true accountability was ever enforced. That same person's boyfriend was then promoted to team lead over more experienced and qualified candidates, including myself. This exposed a culture where favoritism outweighed fairness. I was also targeted. I was written up for calmly setting a verbal boundary when I said, "Don't talk to me," to one of the team leads. During my interview, I had been clearly told I would not be assigned to the freezer or deli. That assurance was broken. I was regularly assigned to those areas. I was also the only one forced to use a cannon cart, even though my work regularly exceeded the expected quality and consistency. The night manager, who allowed all of this to occur without intervention, was never held accountable. Harassment was tolerated. Boundaries were punished. Favoritism was rewarded. There was no structure of support or genuine leadership in place. To remain fully transparent, I also acknowledge this truth. As the environment became increasingly toxic and our health and stability declined, both my partner's and my own attendance began to suffer. For me personally, my productivity dropped. I was not always operating at my highest level. But I showed up for as long as I could, in a place that drained more than it gave. This was not a safe or honorable experience. It caused real harm. And no one seeking peace, dignity, or honest work should have to endure what we did. There are better places to work. Places where communication is honest. Where leadership is accountable. Where humanity is honored. May this review serve as a beacon. For those walking through hardship. And for those who deserve better. - Cosmic Love @GuruCosmicLove
This is the worst Kroger I have ever had the misfortune of having to use, due to moving north of Dayton. Their Click List service is an absolute JOKE. I have only been using this store for 3 months, and I cannot count the amount of times they notify me an hour before that my Click List order will have to be moved back 4 + hours, or even the next day. I've also received a can of Pringles without the plastic lid, strawberries with black/mold on them on SEVERAL occasions, several dented cans, bad corn, etc. over these last few months. I sat in my car and watched a worker bring out someone's Click List, open their trunk, and have the customer's trunk smash into the cart because they didn't have it moved far enough away! Today I had a Click List order to be picked up between 4:00-5:00 tonight. They called me at 3:00 - ONE HOUR BEFORE - to tell me my order had to be pushed back to 8:00 tonight. I had a birthday cake and candles in this order for a birthday dinner tonight at 6:00. I told them this was unacceptable. They did absolutely nothing about it. Choosing a pick up time slot ahead of time clearly means nothing to them. I told them the situation and they did nothing to make it right. I had them cancel the entire order and said I'd never be back. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY AT THIS KROGER. I'll be driving further to use another company/grocery just to avoid them from now on.
It is very obvious that they care way more about the store in Troy, Oh than they do this one. There’s hardly ever a regular register open. Never baggers and the staff at self checkouts seem like they hate their lives. Also, the deli meat is primarily Boars Head. The Boars Head factory was shut down for listeria concerns that has killed more than 10 people.
Always a great store
Love it
Your service sucks your app is broken and needs to be removed from the market you have absolutely no customer service do not care about your customers I'm fed up your company and your app I'm done, I understand this does not matter to you and that's fine but I am posting this so others can know how bad the customer service experience is.
Kroger in Englewood should just call it a day and close! Limited vegetable selection but of course they have it in organic so you can pay twice the price! Predatory pricing, post buy one get one all over an entire middle refrigeration unit but wings which I wanted weren’t included once I got to register it didn’t ring (bait n switch) no body around to help and doesn’t matter everybody working there usually in a bad mood anyway and could careless, like the one that told me. If you go in to shop evening it’s worse! Pallets everywhere blocking everything but yet your suppose to rush around when they start the count down at 9:30 with only 3 registers open. So your 20 min pit stop takes over an hour because no body moves anything to get out of your way either. They don’t care or their earbuds. They can’t hear you you can choose. It’s not the only grocery store in town and we should really petition to invite a new grocery chain in!
Everything I need and great price specials on meat with Kroger card
This is the best Kroger on this side of town especially with variety. That being said it's always busy and hectic I feel like they need to putanother location near Brookville or New Lebanon or Trotwood because there are so many people that shop at this one. I'm here at 7p on a Wednesday and there's been so many people shopping here all the cart returns are full and they only had two people at registers with two areas of self check out in use. More cash registers and more cart attendants as well as some garbage pickup in the parking with a seal coat would go a long way to improving the experience here. They also should be open til midnight.
Good selection of gluten free items but sadly spread throughout the store.
The dairy section is far too wide and split in center aisle and back wall. It doesn't make sense traffic flow wise and shopping wise. Flow needs to be improved here.
I was at the deli for 35 minutes for getting 5 items while the other worker waited on 6 people. I find this ridiculous. This has happened to me 3 times. I went to the service desk to complain. It makes me want to shop elsewhere

It's clear that there is a pattern where there are days when more staff are required to ensure good flow at checkout.
I have been attempting to avoid going into the store at all because of the horrendous lines, which apparently require a security officer to maintain a semblance of clear walkways.
Today I noticed I received a dirty piece of food packaging in my pickup order. I went inside to customer service to ask for a replacement. I was told I may go and get my replacement.
I have already paid for the service to pick up my items. I responded that an associate from the store/pickup may make it right. She responded the store is short staffed and so was pickup, so she would not call them to even ask.
I do not blame the customer service person. I absolutely believe Kroger us understaffed, because I can see it weekly. This is a review specifically for the hiring managers. Hire people and staff your store appropriately.
Of note, there all the other items which I replaced mine with were not dirty whatsoever. It is unclear why an associate would choose a dirty packaged product.
I never have any issues but today I sent My husband and our daughter went to the store for groceries tonight without me… I don’t think I will be sending him again…. He doesn’t even know what cauliflower is… he had to ask me what isle.. after I explained it was in the vegetable area.. came home with frozen… not to mention I asked him to get chicken breasts.. he came home with frozen chicken nuggets and precooked fried chicken… he’s on the couch tonight with only one cat.. I took the other two… not scamming me out of my cats like he did my cauliflower.
Super friendly krogers, when my wife was asking for cauliflower and I didn’t know where to look a Kroger associate helped me find some in the frozen section, now I’m able to go home and rest peacefully tonight, update I also did not get the write cauliflower so I’m sleeping on the couch, thankfully the couch is brand new and it’s also super comfy and I’m lucky to have a big living room all to myself with a singular cat because the wife has the other two cats. Isn’t life grand! ??
This store is stocked very well. They have an excellent cheese and meat section. They're liquor store and very good they have a nice selection. The only complaint is self checkout. You spend an unnecessary amount of time there. Also, flags multiple errors without needing too.
Kroger on a Sunday morning wasn't bad at all there was a traffic Jam In the middle area where a man was advertising all kinds of sauces n spices but that was minor. We went today and it was smooth sailing I had on a Southern Y'all shirt and And lady stop me and said you are right lol and gave me some weather originals and said it's for BEING NICE..
