Nice staff, best sushi ive ever had, and the atmosphere is decent as well. I love going here with my family. I trust them fully not to give me food poisoning and ive never had it :)
Vegetarian options: Theres salads and stuff. There's soups too without meat
Kid-friendliness: I think it is kid friendly. They serve alcohol there but thats about the only part that's not kid friendly. Kids don't really like nice complex food they usually like chicken and fries but if your kid likes to try new stuff i'd totally bring them here

Ozu is the best kept secret in the Dayton area. I worked here as my first job and the owners were always wonderful to me and my family. I have never had sushi anywhere else that is as good as Ozu. The wait times are totally acceptable when you get good quality food.

Ordered spicy vegetable fried rice and on the receipt it said it was spicy. I got home and opened it and it was not spicy this is the second time it has happened!

We were regular customers when they opened and they deserved the best Asian food in Dayton award. Years later, it is so disappointing. Since moving away, we have been there 3 times and each time is more disappointing than the last. This time, the Kung Pao Chicken was bland and flavorless with absolutely no spiciness whatsoever. Pork lomein, even though I asked for it to be extra saucy- was dry. The slivers of pork like little leather shoelaces. Crab Rangoon were little flat triangles with about a dime sized amount of filling. Sad.

My mother and I ate there in person and also had it Togo.. the food is amazing and fresh. I am picky when it comes to sushi and there's is excellent I do recommend this place.
We use to love Ozu but the past two experiences have been less than mediocre. This last visit my family ordered mei fun, hibachi, and a lobster roll. When the food was brought to the table the waitress said they were finishing up the lobster roll. Finally when we asked for the check we were told “the lobster roll is almost done”. I explained that was my meal and I no longer want to eat when both kids and my husband were done. Instead of discounting or taking it off they just offered it to go (who wants to eat sushi to go). We were also never offered refills, unfortunately this will probably be our last visit.
