Got the dinner for 4 with 3 people and it was SO MUCH FOOD. Pricey? Maybe. But the value for the quality is insane. Be prepared for some spice. Was not particularly crowded when we went so it wasn't loud. Cannot wait to go back!

BP Oil Spill-
Would you like oil with a side of noodles? Would you like sichuan oil with a side of 8 small dumplings for $18? If you answered yes to those, then you're in luck. The only saving grace was the pork and grits dish. Albeit a little too salty, so we had to eat it with the bland noodles (which were dripping in oil and stuck to each other) to balance it out. No joke, I mistook the oil in my noodles to be a light soup. Terrible surprise when I spooned it into my mouth. The variety dumplings each had a flavor, but they were coated in oil so much so that I could not really decipher individual flavors.... Really disappointing. Our waters were not refilled at all. Spoon not given for the grits dish, and we were given only chopsticks. Had to ask for spoons. Please see photos. This was our second time here and I'm afraid we will not be coming back.

Delicious food, kind and attentive staff, and beautiful presentation! We went for lunch and tried a good chunk of the menu. The dumpling sampler was delicious (make sure to try their sauces!). The buns and miso tofu were equally as yummy. The rice pudding we had for dessert was phenomenal. We had my 12 month old daughter with us and even she couldn’t get enough! My only suggestion would be to add some high chairs to the dining room. ;)

We got the dan dan noodles, dumpling sampler, house chinese iced tea, and matcha pudding (forgive me, the online menu does not have the seasonal desserts, so I can’t provide the real name but I remember it says Pana Cotta).

Everything was an experience. You can tell there is a lot of love and care that goes into every dish. Cannot believe this little gem wasn’t packed to the gills.

I will say, the dishes were a little oily and perhaps heavy on the numbing Szechuan peppercorns, but I’m sure if you’re sensitive to that you could ask for them to tone it down a little bit.

Loved the location and the appearance of Abundance. Awesome classic diner appeal. We arrived after 8:30p which is really late for dinner (but somehow not unusual for us😁), and we basically had the place to ourselves. Interior is clean, neat and kinda cool looking. After being seated, we were informed that the kitchen closes at 9 - even though they are open till 10. No biggie. Then we were told they were out of chicken - which is an ingredient in a lot of their dishes. Wha?! We ordered our food, and despite the excellent presentation of our plates, the XO Noodle dish I got was way too seasoned and the calamari was chewy. No rings of calamari, just the tentacle variety which is disappointing because those are always more tough and chewy. Overall, not an adject failure but not great either. Our server was very good and responsibly attentive.

Big flavors that don't appear in most restaurants. An Old Fashioned made with szechuan pepper infused bourbon was a tongue-numbing pleasure. The dumplings are obviously and deliciously crafted from scratch. The inclusion of crispy chicken skin in the Lazi chicken (Stir-fry) was an unexpected (and welcome) surprise. My wife had the Xiao Chao beef which also had it's share of szechuan pepper. Looking forward to our next visit.

Abundance Culinary is truly a hidden gem in the Heights. Everything about the experience here is wonderful. The dishes are each so unique, and every single one we’ve tried has been delicious. The staff are phenomenal as well, and they work very hard to ensure you have a great dining experience from start to finish. We can’t wait to come back soon!
