Awesome venue, some of my favorite shows have been here. You're right next to the performers, the staff is great, drinks are reasonably priced, good food all around the area, it's hard to beat.
Great venue, amazing staff!

The Grog Shop is a popular independent concert club in Cleveland, known for its intimate setting and great atmosphere. With no barrier between fans and the stage, it offers an unforgettable experience for attendees. The bar has a wide selection of drinks, including hyper-local brews, at fair prices. The staff is friendly and attentive. Whether attending a local show or a national act, the Grog Shop guarantees a great time.
The space and close proximity to the stage make shows more intimate and enjoyable. First-time visitors may find the layout a bit challenging, as the slightly raised stage can make it hard to see from the back. However, the bartenders are very friendly and easy to talk to. The surrounding Coventry area offers many options for dining and entertainment before or after a show. The sound system and sound engineer are excellent, ensuring good audio quality, and the venue often has a merch nook to the side. Parking is available nearby, usually just a short walk, and there are many restaurants in the area to enjoy before or after the show.
Overall, the Grog Shop is considered as good as it gets for live music. Many visitors love going to shows there, praising the performances and sound quality. Artists seem to enjoy playing at this venue, and it’s common to meet them after the show. The staff is amazing, and the prices on drinks are great. Since there is no food, it’s recommended to eat beforehand. Most people stand during the shows, but there are a few stools near the bar for sitting. Free parking is available a bit down the street, often in a parking garage near the Marcs. Buying tickets online is simple through their website. If an artist you like is performing there, going to the show is a no-brainer.
