Grog Shop is always a local fave spot to go see bands. The most recent show was STARSET last night for an AE VIP show they were having. The space and close proximity to the stage at The Grog Shop make shows more intimate and enjoyable.
First time going there, went to see Ally the Piper. Great, fun concert, loved the night out! However, personally can't give it 5 stars because it is basically a bar with a big dance floor area and then a slightly raised stage. I am old and also have medical reasons that keep me from standing, so we grabbed seats at the bar and watched the best we could. You can see in the pics that you can't really see the stage unless you are in the first 2, maybe 3 rows of people...
Great venue with large dance floor and fully stocked bar to listen to local music like Community Shoe out of Cleveland and traveling bands. Full song on YouTube Bedroom Dancer. Cilantro Taqueria is right next door to eat before the show!
