Great restaurant and food. Very good. Service was inattentive. Took way too long to get 2 drinks, 1 app and two entrees. Took 2 hours. Waited for check for 30 minutes. No attention for drink refills. No communication about the delays. Did even ask about desert until we asked for the check after waiting. Busy and full when we arrived but it literally cleared out. We were only table in our section and no waitstaff attention and they were 10 feet away.

472466. With a menu that never changes, the chefs at Taste have mastered every one of their dining choices. Their wait staff members are attentive and well-trained. A reliable neighborhood restaurant that comes through every time.

Over all solid with nothing really standing out. The service on our visit was very well executed, the room was busy and had a good atmosphere, it wouldn't hurt people to dress beyond t shirt and jeans for dinner but that's society and not the restaurant. The decor is getting a wee bit long in the tooth and wouldn't suffer a refresh. Menu, would like to see more plant forward options not everything has to be decorated with meat and cheese, so lacking in originality. The gnocci was not home made - I recognize Gordon services anywhere, and the sauce was far too oily. No fresh bread?, a miss in an Italian leaning restaurant. Wine list was solid, and happily priced. Negroni was average, a bit too weak to be a great one. Live piano was a plus. Bottom line Taste is good, it's been there a while so it's a bit going through the motions in a workmanlike fashion but I'd still go, just not on a regular rotation. A refresh of menu and decor would be in order to move up the chart.

Taste is always a wonderful experience- we love coming here for special occasions and before seeing a play at Dobama or movie at Cedar Lee theater. The food is delicious and varied, the signature cocktails creative and the wine list extensive. Service is friendly and efficient. What a local treasure!

Good service and food always make dining more enjoyable. The seafood bisque was outstanding along with enjoyable entrees.
Overall poor experience. Ordered steak medium rare. First dish was well done. The remake was perfect temperature however there was a large hair embedded in the spinach. Combine that with the fact it took more than an hour for our food. It was a bad experience and will not be going back.

We had a reservation but when we got to the restaurant the place was full except for a high top. One person in our foursome was slightly handicap and the high top was difficult. The owner said that he would move us to a table but he never came back during dinner.
