This was my go-to place for bbq last year in 2021. Ribs, turkey, cornbread and chicken chili was always awesome. This year of 2022...cornbread is now pre-made and stored in a fridge. That basically ruins it. The ribs are now hit-miss. Turkey is the same,hit/miss . Sometimes the turkey was dry and not as much smoke flavor. Chicken chili is always great. I hope whatever changes they made this year gets changed back. It was my favorite place and I drove over 1hr to go there.Update...now...
After kayaking along Conneaut Creek, we decided to grab some lunch at this spot. It happened to be just two days before they closed for the season. I went with the combination of chicken with bone and ribs, and let me tell you, they were absolutely delicious. The service was friendly and excellent. The best part is the location, right on the pier with a view of the marina. Those marina views definitely added to the overall experience.
Mediocre barbecue with a great view. If you are a barbecue officianado you will be disappointed. This is smoked earlier and re-heated making the meat dry. The staff is pleasant and the view is amazing.
