I’m not one to leave reviews, but this little restaurant needs a shout out. We found this place on a Google Map search for a restaurant near where we were traveling. Had high reviews, so we gave it a shot…despite being a few minutes off the highway in the opposite direction of where we were going. And I am SO glad we did! It is EXCELLENT!
Being a Friday night, the place was pretty busy, and only had a few servers…but they were friendly, fast, and provided great service. Our party of 3 ordered the half rack of ribs dinner (with coleslaw & red potatoes), the beef brisket sandwich with a side of cheesy potatoes (side was á la carte), and pulled pork nachos with BBQ sauce. Everything we ordered was homemade (except the tortilla chips for the nachos and the sandwich bun), and boy, was it GOOD! We had enough to fill us up and still have plenty to take home. And that great pineapple BBQ sauce at the table? You can buy it by the bottle! To round out the meal, we decided to try the homemade Texas sheet cake and German Chocolate cake for dessert, and just…wow! It was so good, we had to get an extra piece of the sheet cake to go. All in (food, drinks, jar of BBQ sauce, and generous tip), was just under $100…and worth every penny.
Two things to note before you go: they have limited hours, and it’s cash only. So check the schedule and check your wallet, and then RUN - don’t walk - to get an excellent meal. We’ll absolutely be back when we pass through.

This place is awesome They greet you with a smile and it continues throughout your stay The food is excellent My brother lives down south where there is a lot of bbq he says this is some of the best Servings were plentiful Price was good Servers were helpful on the menu selections Our waitress was joking and laughing with us Made us feel relaxed Definitely would recommend and we will go again

Hidden gem in the middle of nowhere (compared to where I come from). Great food at fair prices. About an hour from my home. Well worth the travel, but I have learned to limit my intake so I don't get drowsy driving home. Lol. I have had about every thing on the regular menu and have not been disappointed.

My family loves Gibson’s BBQ! We’ve never been treated like anything other than family by everyone there. And the food is delicious! Their strawberry habenero bbq sauce is amazing! Not too spicy and perfect flavor. Check them out!

This place is amazing with perfect flavor! This place is located in a small, sleepy Village but blows away all large chains in the big cities! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, and amazing people!
