Went twice and never got to see the speakeasy. Very disappointed!

We had a lovely time at the speakeasy in the basement, great atmosphere and experience. Unfortunately, it was uncomfortably cold the entire night. We found ourselves shivering, which really took away from the otherwise enjoyable evening. Unless the temperature is adjusted, we’d only consider returning if we came prepared with winter jackets.

My husband and I visited Vacancy lounge on 4/5/2025. We love speakeasy’s, anytime we travel we find a speakeasy; that’s how much we love them. We have been eyeing this speakeasy for some time now and we were pleased to say the least. There is a guy at the top of the stairs that takes names/reservations. He walks you down to the speakeasy that is very well decorated and not overcrowded. At the time we went, it was a Willy Wonka theme. They were playing the Willy Wonka movie throughout the entire establishment and paired the theme with specialty Willy Wonka cocktails. It was so cool and very well done. One girl ordered a drink with pickles that looked fascinating. The drinks and vibes were top tier. My husband happened to know the owner and he came over and spoke to us; he also happens to own the Cashmere Cricket down the street.

If you’re in the Cuyahoga Falls area and like specialty cocktails, check them out. However, make sure you have a reservation so you’re not waiting.

I really wanted to love this place the speakeasy concept had me intrigued, and the promise of a high-end cocktail experience sounded like a perfect night out. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the expectations, service didn’t seem to be a priority. Defiantly for a younger crowd.

Great vibe for a speakeasy! Delicious drinks and nice service. Any of the chocolate martinis are delicious. The bathroom is such a vibe.

Above and beyond. I frequent the Cashmere Cricket quite often so I’ve been eager to check this place out. I visited on Valentine’s Day and the little extra touches really made this trip special. They have a standard drink menu, but they also have a rotating menu with various themes. This edition was Willy Wonka themed and omg the drinks tasted incredible. I couldn’t stop talking about how I wonder who the mixologist is because they’re the tits. So delicious. So well balanced. Just perfect. These are by far the best drinks I have ever had. You can expect to pay $15-$16 for a martini but the atmosphere, service, and little extra touches make it well worth it. Between myself and my date we tried 4 different martinis and each one was better than the next. We tried 3 from the Wonka menu and 1 from the standard menu. One from the Wonka menu tasted like a liquid sweet tart and the rim was covered with pop rocks. It was displayed on a cool color changing coaster that illuminated the drink, and then the waitress made bubbles on top of the drink from a bubble gun table side. The “Chocolate River” drink was like a boozy chocolate milk and even came with a Wonka chocolate bar. We ordered that twice. We tried the “Augustus Gloop” which was topped with whipped cream and vanilla wafers for which they give you the cutest gold spoon to each with. Underneath is liquid gold that tasted just like banana pudding (we also ordered this twice). The bathroom even had nice little touches like a bowl of root beer sucking candy and mints, and complimentary pads and tampons for the ladies. At the end of the night the waiter came by and gave all of the ladies a red rose and each table a box of candy to finish out the Wonka theme. I’m not sure if they did this because it was late or if they could tell we were wrapping up, but towards the end of our visit they came around with a glass of water and just dropped it on our table. I found this to be super responsible and a great idea. They really have thought of everything. I don’t think I have been to a place that has operated with such thought, intention, and attention to detail. It did not go unnoticed. Such a great experience overall. 10/10
