I was told I was going to be charged $2 per roll to substitute raw salmon for shrimp. I was never charged before in the 5 years I've been dining or taking out. In what world does a person get charged for shrimp that's cheaper than salmon? Ridiculous prices just keep going up.

Food was really really good. The service folks were very nice but really struggled in delivery of service. We went at a not so busy time (7:30 pm) I had to ask to order drinks, then again to order meals. Several of our meals came out with missing pieces, plates for appetizers, sauces including key components of our bibimbop bowls. We were also charged for food we never received (which they did correct). Overall rating is less than a 4 but more than a 3.

1. Selling instant ramen as Japanese ramen and charging it $15 is diabolical
2. Rude staff. Totally evident that they didn’t care. Did not check on our food or water. Plus rushing our party to order and leave.
3. Sign said order $50 and get free ice cream. Spent $50 but didn’t give us ice cream. When asked about it, the staff grunted expressing frustration bluntly.

Usually just order food to go from here, and the food has always been AMAZING!! The few times I have eaten inside the restaurant have been absolutely spectacular, the service is amazing! The sushi is always super fresh as well. I can not recommend Akashi nearly enough. It is on the rather expensive side would be the only downfall, but the food is DEFINITELY worth the price!

Was really delicious. My brother picked the place and their food is high quality. Will be eating again. There's karate next door so drop your kiddos off and go eat something good 💯

I have been to this establishment quite a number of times now. This is simply one of the best places to go for sushi and good stewed Korean soul food. Plenty of vegetarian items great tempura I just love the place. I think it's one of the best sushi places in all of Dayton, however the addition of Soul Food slow-cooked items and a great atmosphere make it my number one stop is Sushi is on the menu.

Don't get me wrong, the food is great and authentic. I've ordered from here many times without any issues, but the last two times I got takeout, the portions were very small. For the price they charge, it just doesn't feel worth it. Maybe I should stick to dining in to get full portions instead. 😕
