This place is horrible, they're horribly racist, serve misrepresented fish and treat their staff horribly. That's why they're always hiring and always have new faces. Go here if food poisoning is your thing.

We had their 5 sushi (chef's choice) all taste good and fresh , shrimp tempura with tempura veggie are nice and crunchy pairs well with the dipping sauce, and sesame chicken is really goos for appetizer. I got katsu curry with side of soup and salad I really enjoyed this dish and will have this again when we come back to Akashi.

We REALLY enjoyed our visit here and the sushi was AMAZING. We also really liked that our waitress spoke clear English and could answer our questions about their sushi rolls. Nice, clean, quiet, and quaint little restaurant that we will DEFINITELY visit again! Try the rolls set aflame at your table, you won’t be disappointed…?

Tried this place as I’m in town for work and so happy I did! I am admittedly a bit of a sushi snob, and this place would definitely be on my normal rotation if I lived here- so good! And surprisingly affordable. Great service too.

The food is amazing and the vibe is excellent. The outside of the building had me fooled. This place is a gem and is also my new favorite spot in the Huber Heights area.

The sushiI is always fresh. My friend ate there with us and she said the noodles were on par with what she ate when she was in Japan. The ambiance is nice. I really enjoyed to katsudan and the nigiri.
Like many sushi places, prices have gone up and the slices are slightly thinner than in the past. Not noticeable here unless you eat a lot of sushi. The waitress offered me an additional hand roll for only $1.50. Good price, and delicious but heavier on the rice portion than I'm used to. The Miso soup and the salad were excellent, as was the hot tea. Service was very attentive and discreet. I could slightly nod and get the waitress to come over. There is also a hot napkin that is now individually wrapped and disposable. A nod to COVID, I imagine, while preserving the tradition. I had a very pleasant lunch and highly recommend it for lunch or dinner. Very quiet and relaxing.

Never coming here again. The prices are absolutely ridiculous. Who charges 8 dollars for a california roll? Katsu curry 20 bucks?? No thanks. Theres other places around here just as good some better.

Always a fantastic (if expensive) experience, but you get what you pay for. The sushi is amazing, and the selection of other asian cuisine is prepared with exquisite skill.

This is by far one of the best restaurants in Dayton. I genuinely can't compliment this place enough! They have delicious food, excellent service, and such a clean and warm atmosphere. I love eating here alone, but I also love to take everyone I love to Akashi!I always find that their spicy ramen hits the spot, and I have never been disappointed by their sushi. I make it a point to get the gyoza every time i visit. Sooooo good! They also have a giant ramen 20 minute challenge!
