Amber Rose is a favorite restaurant of ours and was an easy decision to use them for our wedding reception dinner! Joe was great to work with and all of the servers were very helpful in keeping the flow of the meal going and keeping tables cleaned of trash. We had countless compliments from guests about the food and everyone was going back for second and third trips to get more! “Wedding food is usually blah but this was so good!” Was something we heard from multiple people! Would recommend them in a heartbeat!

My husband was in Dayton for the day attending a conference and I needed a place to hang out and work on my novel. Amber Rose was close so I had the good fortune to "discover" this wonderful restaurant. The proprietor was so welcoming and accommodating I was comfortable the whole day. As well as having early 20 century charm with beautiful stained glass windows and antiques from its history as a general store, this restaurant rocks Eastern European food and imported beers! They have a kids menu too. If you want a great dining experience, discover it for yourself!
The waiters were good and everything comes out quick. But for a restaurant which I've heard great things about for many years, I don't know what I am missing... Honestly the food was terribly bland, it was sketchy cuts of meat, and the salad beforehand looked like it came from an expired bag of dole salad mix. I had a few bites of the chicken paprika I ordered, but it was pretty tasteless and the chicken was dry. For a restaurant that charges 30-$50 a person, I honestly don't get the reviews.

Amber Rose was an outstanding restaurant in the past. I was dismayed and very disappointed with the quality of the entrees we were served They were not edible I can’t understand how it had gone downhill so dramatically

Biked here to try the pierogis and it was excellent, best pierogi I've had. Love the historic building as well.

We had an enjoyable meal for the most part. We had the sausage sampler and cabbage rolls. Both were very good and so we're the potato pancakes.

The pergoies were the only thing edible. The food was under seasoned, the noodles were over cooked and the sauce on stroganoff was super runny. The pergoies were the only thing we had that was done correctly.
The service was decent once we were attended to. The restaurant has a cool history but the prices and food are not worth it.

What happened to this place? Went for lunch today and was very disappointed. Place actually looked dirty. Waitress was very rude. Sloshed drinks all over the table without a word. Didn't even get orders right....No saurkraut balls...ran out? mid day?...Food was mediocre. sadly will not return.

I have eaten here before many years ago. I remember the food being much better. The Jaeger schnitzel was way too thick, breading soggy and the mushroom sauce very scant. The cheese was congealed on top of the schnitzel. Spaetzle were ok and really needed salt. And I waited quite a while for the entree and I was there early for dinner
