I recently ordered cupcakes from Ashley's for our wedding, and we can't say enough about them! We placed the order last minute after our original plan wasn't coming together as we envisioned. Theresa was extremely accommodating and even let me come and taste test some flavors when I visited. The cupcakes were delicious, and all of the frosting/fillings were incredible. We had a large variety of flavors, and our guests loved them. We're so thankful to Ashley's for being a part of our special day!
Discovered this gem while visiting Dayton. Delicious! We enjoyed the lemon bar, and magic bar. They also had a great gluten free lemon bar and other options. Theresa and her staff went above and beyond offering local recommendations for us to try during our stay. Thank you!!
Teresa the owner is amazing. All the food is so good!
Friendly staff and amazing pastries!!!
Service with a smile. So many tasty treats to choose from! I choose a chocolate mousse cake and a key lime cheesecake cake. Both were very delicious!
The best! You want bread, pastry, cakes, or cookies? This is the place! Cheese Pocket Coffeecake is the bomb! Yum Yum and Deep-fried Glazed Croissants are amazing. This is the bakery that supplies rolls and bread to many restaurants around Dayton. The wedding cakes are beautiful, the cookies cute and rolls savory.
I got home and was immediately upset. I ordered a dozen macarons all were obviously old ann had not been chilled. It is especially important to keep macarons. ChilledAs they're not good after being left out for even a short period of time and completely destroys the texture I saw the ones in the case. On display, in was a bit taken aback as they were not refrigerated. I also ordered 2 dozen for tomorrow, and I probably will not be picking them up. I feel like if you don't chill your macarons i know optimal texture will not be present. So Yes, I feel a bit ripped off because they were clearly not fresh. And they knew that that's why they didn't give me all they had in the display
Very nice shop - cake wasn’t what I ordered / but they happened to have another one and corrected the new one . Then they only accept cash or check - i wasn’t told this over the phone - I don’t use checks and don’t carry cash - we corrected that so not a problem . Cake wasn’t very tasty - I would suggest buying from them . Service was great
Their pastries and other treats are great. I love the glazed croissant. Be aware they only accept cash, PayPal and Venmo. They also don’t post prices at least from what I could see.

Average pastry shop.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Ashley's Pastry Shop at 21 Park Ave, Dayton, OH, and what a delightful experience it was! As it was my first time at this charming establishment, I was immediately struck by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff greeted me with friendly smiles and even showered me with compliments on my outfit, which was such a nice confidence boost!
The staff was not only friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable about the pastries they offer. They provided great recommendations, highlighting their most popular items, including the croissant, which looked absolutely mouthwatering. While I didn’t purchase the croissant during my visit, I was tempted by the extensive range of pastries available—everything from cookies and danishes to donuts, lemon bars, strudels, and cinnamon rolls and more. The establishment also had a nice verity of cool beverages.
After browsing the impressive selection, I decided to try the cherry cheese pastry. It came neatly packaged in a plastic tin with a napkin and fork, which was a thoughtful touch. Once I got home, I warmed it up for about 15 seconds, and let me tell you, it was incredible! The dough was flaky and crispy, and the filling was generous and rich, with sweet cherries that added a delightful contrast. I’m already craving another one and can't wait to explore the other flavors they offer!
One unique aspect of Ashley's Pastry Shop is their payment policy—they don’t accept credit cards, only Venmo, PayPal, and cash. This might be a bit unconventional for some, but it certainly adds to the charm of the place. It’s also impressive that they’ve been featured in various local publications, two including the Dayton Daily News and the Dayton Business Journal, which speaks volumes about their reputation in the community.
Overall, my experience at Ashley's Pastry Shop was wonderful, and I will definitely be returning to try more of their delicious treats. If you’re in the area and have a sweet tooth, I highly recommend checking them out!

Nice shop in a very nice neighborhood. Smells great when you go in. Doughnuts and pastires don't have too much flavor and not good texture. Staff was nice. They don't take credit cards just cash, check or Venmo.

I ordered 2 dozen dinner rolls for Thanksgiving. They gave me the wrong type of rolls, however they corrected my order. I also purchased two raspberry creme cakes.
The rolls were okay, however the cream cakes were horrible. They were dry and stale. The one had someone's thumbprint on it!. Very disappointing. They were about 2" x 3"and they were 5.95 a piece! I didn't know they were that much until after I had gotten them, so that's my own fault. I mean really for $12 that's ridiculous. I have been to Ashley's years ago and it was a better experience. For $31, I guess I expected a little more. Won't be shopping here again.
