Their pastries and other treats are great. I love the glazed croissant. Be aware they only accept cash, PayPal and Venmo. They also don’t post prices at least from what I could see.

The owners are awesome and always accommodating. It looks like a beautiful rainbow when you walk in the bakery for all of the stunning colorful products. Just a small adventure every time I walk in. I’ve only had outstanding products from Ashley’s. Five stars all around

Average pastry shop.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Ashley's Pastry Shop at 21 Park Ave, Dayton, OH, and what a delightful experience it was! As it was my first time at this charming establishment, I was immediately struck by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff greeted me with friendly smiles and even showered me with compliments on my outfit, which was such a nice confidence boost!
The staff was not only friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable about the pastries they offer. They provided great recommendations, highlighting their most popular items, including the croissant, which looked absolutely mouthwatering. While I didn’t purchase the croissant during my visit, I was tempted by the extensive range of pastries available—everything from cookies and danishes to donuts, lemon bars, strudels, and cinnamon rolls and more. The establishment also had a nice verity of cool beverages.
After browsing the impressive selection, I decided to try the cherry cheese pastry. It came neatly packaged in a plastic tin with a napkin and fork, which was a thoughtful touch. Once I got home, I warmed it up for about 15 seconds, and let me tell you, it was incredible! The dough was flaky and crispy, and the filling was generous and rich, with sweet cherries that added a delightful contrast. I’m already craving another one and can't wait to explore the other flavors they offer!
One unique aspect of Ashley's Pastry Shop is their payment policy—they don’t accept credit cards, only Venmo, PayPal, and cash. This might be a bit unconventional for some, but it certainly adds to the charm of the place. It’s also impressive that they’ve been featured in various local publications, two including the Dayton Daily News and the Dayton Business Journal, which speaks volumes about their reputation in the community.
Overall, my experience at Ashley's Pastry Shop was wonderful, and I will definitely be returning to try more of their delicious treats. If you’re in the area and have a sweet tooth, I highly recommend checking them out!

Nice shop in a very nice neighborhood. Smells great when you go in. Doughnuts and pastires don't have too much flavor and not good texture. Staff was nice. They don't take credit cards just cash, check or Venmo.

I ordered 2 dozen dinner rolls for Thanksgiving. They gave me the wrong type of rolls, however they corrected my order. I also purchased two raspberry creme cakes.
The rolls were okay, however the cream cakes were horrible. They were dry and stale. The one had someone's thumbprint on it!. Very disappointing. They were about 2" x 3"and they were 5.95 a piece! I didn't know they were that much until after I had gotten them, so that's my own fault. I mean really for $12 that's ridiculous. I have been to Ashley's years ago and it was a better experience. For $31, I guess I expected a little more. Won't be shopping here again.

If you're looking to elevate your wedding celebration with a charming and delicious twist, look no further than the mini wedding pies from Ashley's. These mini treasures were the highlight of my wedding!!
From the first bite, it's clear that these pies are crafted with care and attention to detail. The crust is perfectly flaky and golden, providing a delicate balance to the sweet, flavorful filling inside. Whether you choose classic flavors like apple or opt for something a little more unique like Oreo, each mini pie is a miniature masterpiece.
The best part? These mini pies aren't just delicious — they’re also incredibly versatile (Ashley's offers too many filling options to count!!)! Not only are they adorable and perfectly sized for individual servings, but they also make for an unforgettable wedding dessert. These pies bring a charming, homemade feel to your wedding spread that guests will rave about long after the event - people are still talking about them months after my wedding!!
What really sets Ashley's apart, though, is their attention to customer service. The staff took the time to help me select flavors that would complement our wedding guests, and they were so accommodating with customization requests (vegan, allergies, etc.). The pies were beautifully presented and arrived right on time, fresh and ready to delight.
In sum, if you want a wedding dessert that feels personal, delicious, and a little bit magical, these mini wedding pies are an absolute must. I couldn't imagine my big day without them!
Highly recommend!!!!!

The employees were very helpful in helping me choose items. They weren't as good as I thought they would have been. Even my 10 yr old daughter said they ain't all that which did hurt my feelings 🤧 but the young ones normally speak the truth.

The gluten free cake my husband ordered for my birthday was so good. They also have a few selections of GF items on the shelf which are also good.
I've frequented Ashley's for decades, and I'm not sure if I've just tasted better alternatives or if the quality at Ashley's has gone down. Either way, the last few times we've tried the bakery have been disappointing. The crescent donuts were over done, the cookie was just "okay", the strudel filling tastes like something out of a can, and we threw the cinnamon bread in the trash after one taste.
Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this bakery anymore.
