So there’s a group on Facebook called the Dayton foodies group… I see Carmichael’s pub referenced all the time for one of the best burgers and wings In Dayton. I finally got the opportunity to try it today.
Let me start off by saying nothing was bad. My wife ordered the cowboy burger with hand, cut fries. I had 10 of the hot garlic wings.
Like I said, the burger wasn’t bad but for people to rave about it like it’s one of the best in Dayton I thought was a huge oversell… The hand cut fries I did enjoy sometimes those can be tough at almost any restaurant where occasionally you’ll get soggy ones, but these overall we’re fairly crispy. I can tell the wings were made with fresh chicken, which was a huge plus for me. I consider myself a wing connoisseur. I really enjoyed the hot garlic sauce. I thought it was top-tier. I wouldn’t say they’re the best wings in Dayton, but they are definitely far better than average bar wings!
Ultimately, what was disappointing was the service I asked the waitress for water several times, We also waited over an hour and a half for our food, There was little to no communication about the wait.
At the end of the day, I think my expectation was just too high in the price that I paid reflected what my expectations were compared to what I actually received.
I’d be willing to come back and give it another chance

The type of place where you tip fat and get treated the same, and I say this as the highest compliment. A true neighborhood bar that looks after its own. Best damn bar food in Dayton. Strong sense of community, showcasing local comedians and musicians. I love this place.

Stellar local neighborhood gem. Consistently delicious food, great service. Sit at the bar top for the most attentive service. Great burgers, amazing onion rings, fried pickles, and fries. Drinks are nicely poured and a great value. They have $1 beers and shot specials daily if that’s your thing. Vegan burgers are beyond meat and always juicy and delicious ?
Vegetarian options: Vegan burgers, and vegetarian options- lots of fun stuff to choose from. Their fried pickles, fried mushrooms, French fries, and onion rings are all vegan.
