I’m sorry but I come from a larger city up north and our Chinese food is completely different and tastes a lot better , I’m used to actual fried rice and gravies the tastes of Chinese food here is more bland not so flavorful and most Chinese places near the Dayton area have spring rolls and not egg rolls I just didn’t care for it the Chinese food in nyc , Detroit, saint Louis, Chicago and parts of Indiana and Toledo are a lot better it was ok here but not impressed
My favorite Chinese place.
Service, staffs are outstanding but food is not that good anymore. Used to love this place but last two times have been bad. Much smaller portions than before and most foods we ordered were pretty salty.
The food was as good as always at China Cottage. The only downside was that it had warmed up outside and it was really warm in the restaurant.
We Love this China Cottage. We will always go here for carry out and dine-in. Very good food and great people.
Great Chinese restaurant with a delicious menu.
Amazing food. The best in the Dayton area by far! Try the Sizzling Steak!!!!
Got take out. Ordered happy family, fried rice and crab Rangoons. Happy family was supposed to have beef, chicken, shrimp, crab and scallops. It was full of beef and chicken, with 3 scallops. And the whole dish was bland A.F. It tasted like it was made with dish water. The Peas in the fried rice were like rocks, and there was NO CRAB whatsoever in the crab Rangoons. Piss poor food-- no flavor at all.
Great waitor! Great food! Great service! Food is family reasonable, and you get enough for a second full meal. Highly recommend this place.
Had the chicken in black bean sauce and the General Tso’s chicken. The Chicken in Black Bean sauce was FANTASTIC! The General Tso was ok but we like the black bean sauce much better. The Won Ton soup is very good and has a rich flavorful broth and very good wontons. The pasta is delicate and the filling is tasty. Will definitely be back for the Chicken and Black bean sauce and the won ton soup!

Have loved this place since it opened in 1987.
AWESOME place we go to a lot of Chinese places and this was amazing with perfect sweet and sour sauce and perfect breading on the chicken. The orange
beef and General Tsos chicken were delish. Also our server Lucas was so kind and he put our leftovers in the contaner and got our drinks super fast. Over all a good place for everyone.Lastly a HUGE menu.😁
Good hearty dishes, rich flavors. Nice, hard-working staff. A++
My husband and I ordered General Tao, pork fried rice and 2 egg rolls.
The chicken was tough and the rice was not flavorful at all. We were very, very disappointed.
Great waitress and delicious food.
The waitress worked well with 4 different dietary needs.
