I stay at this Mariott 2-3 times a year. We have lackluster service every time. Waitstaff lacks a sense of urgency and the menu is limited. If you have another option you should take it.

Doesn’t really handle larger parties. We had 8 and a toddler, sat us at two different height tables with 4 of our party about a foot above everyone else. Showed up for breakfast at 11, only offered the lunch menu or the breakfast buffet (which is really just standard hotel breakfast ‘plus’ ) Server wasn’t exactly the friendliest or most helpful, unclean glasses at the table. Maybe shouldn’t market a “brunch” option if it’s really just a breakfast buffet. Atmosphere is nice, but nothing to write home about. If you’re staying at the hotel I’m sure it’s fine, but just nothing to go out of the way for.

Delicious food; extraordinary flavors and tastes, unexpected at a hotel restaurant. I have eaten dinner here 3 days in a row, and each was spectacular.

They have a small all you can eat buffet with an omelet station. The atmosphere is very nice. They have a bar. And it's kid-friendly. You can also order stuff like pancakes and waffles and they make them fresh to order and is a part of the buffet.

We had a great experience over our stay including 2 breakfasts, a lunch and a dinner. Staff & food were great! Shout out to Amy starting our days out with a smile 🙂

I recently had the pleasure of being served by Amber at The Dewberry 1850 in Dayton, and I couldn't have asked for better service. Amber was prompt, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure my experience was nothing short of excellent. Her attention to detail and warm demeanor created a welcoming atmosphere that made my visit truly memorable. It's rare to find someone who is so dedicated to ensuring a perfect experience, and Amber definitely deserves recognition for her outstanding service. I highly recommend her and The Dewberry 1850 for anyone looking for top-notch hospitality!

Tonight was our 41st anniversary. I was 20 my wife was 19. We grow up in Kettering and I had recently joined the Navy. We spent our 2 night honeymoon at the Dayton Marriott. We went to the bar tonight to visit our place to have a drink to celebrate. Deasha the tender there welcomed us with open arms. Thanks Deasha for your kindness and hospitality you are what made our return to our honeymoon spot so nice.

Good off the menu is very good; the breakfast buffet is about as you’d expect. Good, but not spectacular.

Amy was my server each morning and was always engaging and bubbly. I appreciated her energy early on cold mornings. I’ll certainly be back on my next trip to Dayton.

My daughter and I came in for breakfast. Food was disappointing. My breakfast sandwich was suppose to have bacon chutney and Brie on it and it did not.Though the bacon was great quality it was over cooked. Wasn’t worth the price.

My mother and I went there this morning. Was not overly impressed. The atmosphere was beautiful and the music was very relaxing. However, we didn't know if we should seat ourselves or wait on staff. We didn't see staff, so we ended up asking another family who informed us to sit ourselves. We got our bill put on the table right after ordering and before our food even came out. Then, when they brought us our food 35min later they had our food and two other tables mixed up. The guy that brought us our food was very nice and friendly. Our waitress appeared to be having a bad day or something because she didn't smile and sounded like she was annoyed when asking about our order. We had pancakes and the banana walnut French toast, and we're not overly impressed with the flavor.

I have dinned all across Europe and North America, and the only place that ever refused to serve me food was this restaurant, Dewberry at Marriott. All the folks working at the restaurant ignored me, and didn’t even give me a table to sit. 2024 truly disgusting but I guess that’s how they do business in Dayton.
